Enjoy the peace and quite of mountain living. This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom rental is 15 minutes from Western Carolina University and only a short driving distance to the Cashiers/Highlands area as well as Sylva and Cherokee. The Tuckasegee River is less than 1/2 mile from the barn for those who enjoy fly fishing and kayaking. The space ***New for 2025 pots, pans, and cushions for outdoors rocking chairs***New for 2023 vanities & toilets in both bathrooms***New for 2022 New mattresses***New for 2021 New carpet in the bedrooms, additional lighting in the parking area, keyless entry, and added a Keurig.*** The two bedrooms each have a queen bed as well as a bathroom with a shower. The living room is a cozy space with an electric fireplace and a sleeper sofa. Enjoy both indoor or outdoor dining as well as the gas grill and rocking chairs on the front porch. The kitchen is fully stocked with a coffee maker, pots, pans, cooking tools, cutlery, china, glasses, mugs. The fire pit has plenty of firewood stacked beneath the stairs leading to it. The basement houses the laundry area as well as a cornhole set. Keep in mind we are in the mountains and you will not have cell service in a lot of areas. Verizon has the best in our area but does not always work. The barn does have internet so you can enable wifi calling before you get out of service and that should help. Please keep in mind that the barn is in the mountains and we have wildlife around that we cannot control. Do not leave doors to your vehicle or the barn open. Do not leave food outside. *It is important to know that this space is not handicapped accessible because there are stairs required to reach the cabin (not in the cabin) and to get down to the yard/fire pit. Also while we respect service animals we can not accommodate any animals due to severe allergies of our owners and some guests* Guest access Guests have full access to the barns’ property. This includes the main level of the barn, the basement (which is where the laundry room is located), the porches, and the fire pit.
