Description

Creek view overlook: sitting inside a cozy, warm off-grid Gorge Edge cabin. Talking Tree cabin included nearby w/ private creek access, firepit and wood stove. Central location for Olympic Nat'l Park and beach attractions. Tucked on the edge of tall forest and cut land, with a couple guests up the road. Cozy up by firelight, listening to Sand Creek rush below. No electric/running water. Enjoy sunsets at Ruby Beach, 3 miles away (south of Forks, Wa). The space **Bring light and water** Bring bedding recommended. Some blankets provided. More for rent at Camp Host shed nearby, $5/blanket, self-serve. Firewood is: On site, 10 for $5 loose pieces. Pick up at Camp Host Woodshed, just beyond your cabin. Cash only. Ven:mo is double price. **Price may differ in summer--depending on wood availability **Summertime (June-Sept) there is a county wide burn ban in effect. No fires. Bed is: 1 double mattress (54”x75”) 1 fold-out camp cot "Half-bath" is: Outhouse nearby (30 second trail walk) Kitchen includes: +2 burner camp stove (fuel provided) +Pot/pan/paper plates/bowls/silverware +French press for coffee (bring coffee) +Hot cocoa +Oil+seasonings +Cooler The nature of a camping cabin—possible mice, spiders, etc. Campsite: no lock/key needed. •••We built these cabins using on-site and sustainable practices. We believe in repurposing and/or using primitive materials to create a cleaner end goal••• ——Arrive in daylight. Parking is for 2 vehicles. Be sure to read and download ahead the directions sent the morning before. This land is down a side road that has no physical address. Don’t follow gps. Getting there: 3 mile drive on a gravel road. It can seem long, bumpy and wet if not used to old PNW gravel roads. No RVs. Nearest town is 45 minutes: Forks, Wa. Nearest basic convenience store is 25 minutes: Kalaloch Mercantile. Nearest gas station is 30 minutes: Queets Trading Post Guest access *30 second trail walk to shelters. 3 miles from highway to parking spot. Any vehicle will make it. No RVs. One can meander down the road and creek, but do not walk up the road or creek. Other things to note Rain gear and boots are handy for exploring the creek, surrounding forest, and coastal tide pools. Bring slippers for rock floor if sensitive.
