Very safe and quiet neighborhood. The space The guest house is a spacious one bedroom Eichler style 800 sq ft home with full kitchen, lofty living room, polished cement floors, and spacious bathroom with a copper lined shower. We call it the tree house because the airy living room looks out through the oak tree canopy. The main room (kitchen/living room) opens on to chaparral forest, surrounded by a California native garden. This room has floor to ceiling sliding glass doors and windows, 12’ high ceiling with recessed lighting, beautiful natural light, and yet is very private. Radiant heat: warm floors. Very strong WiFi. There is a single pull out sofa bed in the living room, full kitchen with water filter and instant hot water. The washing machine/dryer/drying rack are in a closet in the bathroom. Private patio and wrap around deck overlook a California native plant habitat garden and oak trees. There are chairs and small tables on the patio and deck. And there are always lots of birds and other wildlife. We have a cleaning service once a week. And we try to book our reservations one week apart. Guest access The guesthouse has a separate entrance, gate, and address. The guests can access the yard near the cottage. Other things to note The dining room table is a new Saarenin table with an Arabescato marble top and Saarenin tulip chairs. There are chairs and tables on the patios.
