Description
Diana & Eric welcome you to join them to their family built log home. Though quaint and a tad rustic, we have modern amenities. Nestled in 11 forested acres of the Pine River Valley, we are just 1 hour north of Pearson & 45 minutes from Collingwood or Wasaga. Hike the trails and leave the busy world behind. If you would enjoy a 'glamping' experience, check the listings for our 2 new bunkies in the woods. We welcome families, friends, groups and workshops or retreats. The space The house can accommodate up to 7 guests, but we generally only rent out the two rooms on the main floor unless it is a group. You will have access to all common areas and decks on the main floor of house which includes shared use of the kitchen, living room, bathroom, BBQ, property, decks and fire pit. Hike the forested Bruce Trail and scenic Pine River Fishing Park right out our front door. Take in the spectacular view, relax on our front deck or a campfire and enjoy the many birds that visit our feeders. You might want to enjoy an acclaimed country drive along River Road as it winds it's way through the Pine River Valley. Or park your car and enjoy doing nothing at all. There are many seasonal opportunities of skiing, hiking, fishing, swimming, visiting local farm stands and many more activities just a short drive away. Guest access Parking is in our lot outside although we request one space per reservation. Additional space is in a lot on the 2nd line. The 2nd line of Mulmur is unpaved and, although maintained, is a little rough and can pose seasonal access challenges to small, sporty or other low set vehicles. There is a parking lot at the bottom of the 2nd Line and you can generally get a lift to the house if you prearrange this. During your stay With a life-long dedication to community and connection, Eric and Diana offer a welcoming and accepting home that invites you to relax, hike the Bruce Trail, have a bonfire and more. Many use our place to enjoy the night skies, a bonfire and peaceful sleep before awakening to a full breakfast before jumping off to the Georgian Bay tourist area. Other things to note We live here, and share the kitchen/living room space on the main floor. My son and partner and their two toddlers live in the downstairs apartment and although it is a separate space, you might occasionally hear the children. The hot tub is shared with both house and bunkie guests. Private bookings can be arranged upon arrival. Although there are three rooms available, we generally rent the two rooms on the main floor. If you are booking with a group (7 people in the house, 7 people in the 2 bunkies), discounts are available. Ask for details. The house is set into the hillside. Access is by several flights of stairs and not wheelchair friendly, sorry. Pets and children are welcome, but please let us know. Alergy alert: A dog and cat live here. Our official greeter, Toby, always barks a welcome to new guests. But if you read our reviews, you will see that he is a gentle giant and a hit with our guests.
