Escape civilization to this idyllic, secluded northern Michigan getaway--80 acres of scenic woodland and fields that were once home to a fruit farm. Experience quiet and solitude in our woods and trail-filled countryside. This tiny cabin is the ultimate off-the-grid "glamping" experience. The space The lovely interior of the Bluebird Cabin has a north woods feel and harkens from a bygone time with vintage furniture and original art (created by the property artist/owner). It has a Double Bed to accommodate two people. Our other rental cabin, Scarlet Tanager, has two twin beds. Message us if you cannot find it and are interested in it instead. Bathrooms, kitchen and laundry are IN A SEPARATE BUT NEARBY BUILDING in the nearby 2000 square foot barn. Think "glamping" like experience. This is an opportunity to get Up North to get away from it all. We do not allow pets. No exceptions. Guest access kitchen, laundry facilities, bathrooms, outdoor space, picnic and bonfire area Other things to note Feel free to explore the 80 acre property--woods and fields with lots of wildlife and views. There is a bonfire pit to use. We ask that you let us know if you would like to use it so we can set it up for you. We have very little light pollution so stargazing is really spectacular. We have had guests bring telescopes! There are many lakes in the nearby area and Lake Huron is just 15 miles away. There is lots of hiking in the area. Alpena is the nearest town and is 15 miles away with good dining and grocery stores. Just ask us for a recommendation!
