I, his wife Carol, am always happy to give you “the tour” and show you his beautiful work. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy the adjacent sitting room and outdoor deck. During your stay Typically we will be here to greet you when you arrive. We have two small young dogs. They are lovable but rather enthusiastic with new people. And being good watch dogs, they will bark when you come in. But with a little attention, they quiet down rather quickly. They use a doggy door that leads to the deck/back yard during the day. We restrict their access to the back yard when the ground is muddy. During the day and early evening, they have access to the sitting room. Then we restrict their access to the back half of the house where your bedroom is. They will never enter your bedroom/bath. Our interaction with guests is minimal. We’re here but will leave you alone. We are “early to bed, early to rise” people so we respectfully ask that our guest return in the evening by 9:30PM (because of the dogs barking). Business folks who are just looking for a place to bunk at night are ideally suited for our place. Other things to note Our guests consistently note that they get a good night’s sleep. With the new addition of the two dogs, we provide ear plugs to our guests. The dogs sleep through the night, but tend to be early risers. There is a laptop desk in the room, which can be used to work or to eat dinner. Room is ideally suited to the business traveler who is not here during the day.
