This house is approximately 1700 sq. ft and is located on 2.25 acres in the valley of Pelham, TN on Payne Cove Road. Enjoy a scenic view from the porch or stay cozy by building a fire in the wood fireplace. The home is a 7 minute walk to the entrance of the Caverns if you're here to enjoy a show. This home can be accessed about six miles off of exit 127 on I-24. It is located about an hour from Nashville & Chattanooga. It is about 10 miles to Monteagle and 15 to Sewanee. Welcome to your home away from home located in the Payne Cove Community of Pelham Valley Tennessee! This property was originally owned by the Roberts family. This family owned much of the land around the property, including Big Mouth Cave, most of you know it as The Caverns. Back in the day, many locals enjoyed camping, riding ATVs, or enjoying the scenery of the cave. Big Mouth Retreat is located less than one mile from the entrance of the cave, which makes it easily within walking distance. On your way to the cave, you will be able to see some scenic mountain views, and possibly some local wildlife. Make sure to notice the Roberts Family Cemetery on your left as you make your way down. Firewood will be provided to use in the Fireplace. There are three TVs located in the home that are equipped with Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ so that you can continue to binge watch your favorite series away from home. There is a full kitchen and outside charcoal grill so you can prepare a home-cooked meal or a mouth watering steak. Finish the night off with a classic family board game or game of cards. There is enough space to sleep 6 guests in beds. The large family room could sleep a few more guests if needed. If we are not available to greet you upon your arrival, a key will be left in a lock box. Instructions to access the box on the front door will be sent to you upon your arrival once your reservation is confirmed.
