A cozy little space tucked into the mountains, with rivers, orchards, restaurants, skiing, hiking, wineries & brewery closeby. A comfortable master& 2nd bedroom or den,new custom bath,&small but fully outfitted kitchen between the private rooms.You can whip up a full dinner with finds from local organic farms or walk to the local cafes.A lovely patio to watch the sunrise& sunset over the mountains,enjoy your breakfast while watching wildlife, or gaze at nighttime constellations great photography This cozy little adobe casita with great views was once a mobile home. We have fullyl renovated this property with new infrastructure, utilities, decor, and appliances. Please read the reviews;they say it all! It's less than 500 sq feet inside but we have intuitively found great ways to use the space and make it a comfortable getaway for peqce and rest or some adventure and fun. Its very comfortable for 2 people but for families needing to find accommodations up here. we have built the 2d bedroom or den or office space when you need to spread out as a family or have a separate workspace for long term working remotely. You can cook breakfast lunch or dinner in the kitchen easily with one of the many cooking appliances. The huge patio is my favorite place to enjoy coffee while watching the sunrise to the east over the mountains or have a family meal on the patio at sunset. Inside is also a table for 4 if you need a cozy hot meal to relax after skiing all day. The custom copper walk-in shower and new instant heat hot water heater and new Roku TV in both rooms can provide the right space for everyone to relax after a day of adventure. come and soak in the peace and beauty with a million stars at this lovely place along the famous orchards and art of Dixon. Close to the Ride for fly fishing and white water rafting. Within an hour of 5 ski resorts. ,Walk to 2 cafes. The property managers live next door so someone is always available if you need something have a question. Guests have the private, quiet, renovated turquoise side of the property with a private keypad entry, a huge patio, and a south-facing courtyard in front of your suite to watch sunrise and sunset. Plenty of critters flit around the yard. Inside is a master bedroom and a den or 2nd bedroom bath and a well-outfitted small kitchenette. The property managers live on the other half of the main building and garage. You may run into them occasionally. Every effort is made to give your plenty of space and privacy to enjoy star-filled skies in peace and quiet. This has a separate guest entrance with an electronic pass-code door lock. Feel free to reach out to us for the local great restaurants and cool places to see. We love this area and love to share it. We live on the other side of.the property and want you make.yourself at home.in your space inside and outside. We may see you occasionally outside but there is plenty of space for peace and quiet. Dixon is famous for its lovely orchards, art, vistas, and people. It's a small town with lovely people. This area is filled with the natural beauty of the New Mexico Experience. You just have to go explore. The Dixon Farmers Coop is 300 yards from our driveway. 3 wineries - Black Mesa, Vivac, and Chiripadda, that have music and love to share their lovely spots and creations. Blue Heron Brewery hosts local events and has pick-up as well. God's art in this majestic area is breathtaking. There are tons of local galleries as well. Walk to 2 galleries here in Dixon with the famous Dixon Art Studio Tour the first weekend in November every year. Drive 30 Minutes to Toas teaming with phenomenal local artists and nationally acclaimed ones too. Drive an hour to Santa Fe for the 3rd largest art market in the US. 5 ski resorts within an hour for winter or summer adventure or just easy walks with beautiful views. Some of the best fly fishing, 3 lake fishing, open streams in New Mexico are here and stocked regularly with rainbow and brown trout from the University of New Mexico. Hire a local guide from a shop in Taos for the secret spots or go to one the 3 lakes close by or put in the Rio Grande River pockets 2 miles down the road. If you are a rock hound take the high road to Taos and see what you find. If food is your fancy, your palette is in for a treat. Everything is grown locally here and the local chefs care about their cuisine. Zulys' cafe is a 2-minute walk for breakfast lunch dinner for just ice cream and coffee, Hit Antonios in Taos for creative cooking with a phenomenal chef. In Santa Fe 'The Pantry' is local food and reasonable for a great plate. You pass the best hamburger at Sugars on the right before turning onto Highway 75 to get to our house. Los Alamos is 45 minutes away for the science buffs and so Bandelier National Park to go explore Native American cave dwellings. Hot Springs are 45 minutes away at Ojo Caliente. For the history buff, The local Taos Pueblo has been inhabited for 800 years. The St Francis of Assisi Church built from Adobe in the 18th Century. The local Presbyterian church was built in 1889 and has an open service on Sundays. Too many things to see and do or just come and do nothing but soak in the beauty of the area. It's easy to do here. Take the high road to Taos for gorgeous vistas...make sure to note the signs...yes you may see cows grazing by the scenic byways. This whole place has amazing views. Highway 68 past Taos takes you over the Rio Grande Gorge and over to Ojo Caliente and Abique for art on 285. You can fly into Taos on during high season otherwise Santa Fe airport is an hour and Albuquerque is 2 hours. There is a train that goes from ABQ to Sante Fe. The local bus stop is at the top of our driveway and comes by twice a day Many guests will park the car and walk into downtown Dixon for a bite at 2 cafes groceries library art galleries and a thrift store. You can order fantastic fresh produce at a local organic farm and pick it up from their neighboring barn on Fridays. There are multiple farmers' markets during the summer to pick up local fresh-picked produce and the Dixon Coop a 5-minute walk down the road also carries local produce year-round. We are 30 minutes to both Taos and Espanola. This is a rural area and sometimes things close early. If you are arriving after 6 pm order ahead. call me or I.can tell you the BEST places to pick up dinner in your way if you don't feel like cooking. I. always leave some things in the pantry so you won't go hungry. Some guests bring a few groceries for breakfast and plan your outing for local cuisines in Taos.
