Room #2 (Rm #1 is a separate listing) This is a working farm where you can visit our many friendly farm animals, use your ATV, kayak or fishing gear. We're at the base of Mt Church, 20 min's from town, in the forest by Chwk River with world class fishing on our beach, & swimming late summer, trails/logging roads for ATV's & hikers, kayak Class II - IV rapids. The space The large bedroom available has a very comfortable queen-sized bed, & 2 single beds & has an it's own ensuite bathroom. We also supply a small shared sitting area on the landing between the 2 bedrooms. As far as kitchen facilities, there is a tiny fridge just outside the room and we supply plates/bowls/cups & utensils. There is also microwave, & hotplate for your use, but it isn't really intended for people to cook meals, just something to heat your food up with. If there isn't a camp fire ban, you are welcome to have a fire down by the river (kids love that)! You would need to supply your own wood. We have a large trampoline that you are welcome to use, as well as a badminton net & rackets set up at the side of the house. We have a baby grand piano & you are welcome to serenade us (if you can play)! The 2 parrots & 2 very friendly cats live in the house & the house is usually pretty quiet. I am happy to give you a parrot show (one does many tricks), but I am not up early! (They say the early bird gets the worm and I don't want worms!) DO NOT BOOK IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF (indoor) CATS &/or (strictly outside) DOGS (all ridiculously friendly), or our decorative dolls! (& yes, we've actual had that!) NO FUSSY, STUFFY OR NEUROTIC PEOPLE! Life is too short & I'm too old & don't need the stress of having to deal with that! I am interested in hosting only down to earth friendly people! A great sense of humour is welcome! We are currently finishing building a 4 car garage & about to start our big barn, however you are unlikely to hear much (if any) construction noise, & certainly not before 9 AM! No, you don't get the whole house!!! Yes, we live here (on the main floor - the rooms are on the 2nd floor)! No, the beach is not right beside our house! (Our large property is on 2 levels, & the house is on the upper level!) The beach is down the hill in our camping/picnic area. Just to clarify, we do not have ATVs or Kayaks or fishing gear etc. for you to use, but you can bring your own & launch, ride or fish directly from our property! Guest access You have access to a small shared sitting room between the 2 rooms as well there is a patio table & chairs for you outside on the deck & in the morning we open the dining room for breakfast. You are free to explore the property outside! During your stay Due to Covid, we aren't doing a lot of socializing or having people in the rest of the house. Other things to note We do not allow people to bring their pets to our B & B, however, we do allow them in the cabins. Our very quiet, gentle horses are often loose on the property and we also have goats, cows, peacocks, guinea fowl, pheasants, Mandarin ducks and 3 gentle livestock guardian dogs (Maremma's). We have 2 very entertaining parrots inside as well as 2 house very friendly cats inside. We have organic gardens & a small vineyard & lots of blueberries, & various other berries & fruit trees. We heat our house with a wood furnace, that also helps heat the water. The water is from our own spring-fed waterfall. We usually have volunteers from around the world that stay with us & help on the farm. Sometimes (usually winter & spring) our forest road (although wide & flat) can have lots of potholes, although it is still easily accessible by car, you have to drive slowly! ***You can't use our address for your GPS, you have to look under "Getting Around" on this site to get the instructions for getting here!
