Amazing Lochside holiday house. Stationmasters Lodge is a fantastic large holiday house on the west coast sleeps up to 18 in comfort and a superb base for exploring the west coast, Plockton & nearby Isle of Skye. Perfect for groups & family gatherings with cosy log-burner, huge dining table (sits 16 and converts into a pool table) and amazing lochside views. 8 bedrooms rooms, some en-suite. Close to many attractions: Plockton, Skye 20 mins, Portree 1 hr, Inverness and Fort William 1.5hrs. The space Traditional highland House with superb loch views, walks and site seeing being only 20 mins to the Isle of Skye, Plockton and Eilean Donan Castle. Perfect for groups and family gatherings with large lochside lounge cosy log-burner, huge dining table (sits 16 and converts into a pool table) and 8 bedrooms, four en-suite. The kitchen has a large 6 burner gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and a large fridge. There is a TV with NETFLIX as well a selection of DVDs. A good selection of board games, pool table. The Lodge is heated by a powerful wood pellet heating system and is always warm and cosy. Its the perfect base for a relaxing holiday on the west coast amongst wonderful loch and mountain scenery. Please note our housekeeper lives in a flat to the rear of the property. she will not impose on your stay or enter the part of house while you are staying and you should not see her, unless there is a problem and you need help with something. Bedroom 2 with 2 single beds or king Bedroom 3 with 2 singles (which can be joined to make a superking) Bedroom 4 with 2 bunkbeds (sleeps 4) Bedroom 5 with a double bed and en-suite shower room A shower room on the first floor Top Floor: Bedroom 6 with a single and a double bed Bedroom 7 with 2 singles en-suite or superking Bedroom 8 with 3 singles (or superking and a single) en-suite The 2 en-suite bathrooms can be shared with room 6 Guest access Guests with have access to the entire space with the exception of the rear extension/housekeepers flat. Other things to note The house is heated by a 26 kilowatt wood pellet boiler so it is nice and toasty. There is also a new log stove in the main room so you can relax in the heat and gaze at a proper fire. There is a 330 Litre hot water tank so there is no problem with getting hot showers. There is no shop in the village, nearest shop are in Kyle with a good sized Co-op (15 mins drive away) There is a train station opposite the house. Stromeferry. The house was built for the stationmaster when Stromeferry was the main port for the North West Highlands and Islands. The train now continues through to Kyle of Lochalsh. There are 3 trains in each direction Mon - Sat and 2 each way on Sundays. Inverness 2 hrs, Kyle 25 mins.
