Relaxation, romance, outdoor adventure or just peace and quiet watching the leaves or snow fall inside on your shearling covered comfy couch with views overlooking the river! Ideal for vacay, workcay, mini-moon, or special occcation. 1 hr from NoVA/DC off I-66, 10 mins to town of Front Royal! The space Skyhouse is named after its elevation above the river, surrounded by a canopy of the forest. From the massive deck, views as far as the eye can see of the Shenandoah River and Blue Ridge Mountains. Catch a common siting of eagles, deer, heron and wild river geese~ Wake up to the glow of the sun rising and enjoy a glass of wine with it setting over the river~ at night, the moon reflects on the water while you listen to the rustling of trees. Skyhouse has steps down to a private tub tub with seating for four, overlooking the river, plus it's own private campfire, charcoal grill, and personal floating dock! Amazing front door to water's edge access! Inside, privacy meets eclectic Danish-modern flare. Enjoy an impressive chef's kitchen with marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, stocked with spices and oils for cooking or sink into your shearling-covered couch and put your feet up. Expect the best at Skyhouse and she delivers with a marble tiled shower, memory foam mattresses, Danish hardwood cladding throughout, floor to ceiling mirrors and windows, selected art work and personal touches make this gem box an uncompromising experience. Note, this is an adult friendly retreat, guests must be over 24 to book and no kids under 14. EV charging station just installed! Don't forget to bring your own tubes! Floating is excellent in the summertime! Guest access Guests will be welcome to all the amenities available at Skyhouse which include a full kitchen, stocked with coffee, tea, cooking spices, snacks, bathroom basics, washer/dryer, cool AC, private patio seating, hot tub, campfire ring, bbq grill and front door to water's edge access! Parking for two vehicles only in driveway. No street parking. THERE IS NO RV PARKING AT PROPERTY OR ON ROAD BY PROPERTY. Guests with RVs will have to make alternative parking arrangements. Other things to note Thank you for your booking request! Skyhouse is perfect for: a) a super romantic honeymoon, anniversary, or uber romantic date ;) b) a outdoor & nature enthusiasts exciting get-away! c) a unique & generous birthday gift! d) a Covid workplace sanctuary! e) a quiet place for personal reflection f) a culinary couples home base after checking out the local wineries, breweries, fantastic distilleries, & restaurants! g) a small family or couples gathering spot! Skyhouse is NOT suitable for: a) parties (over 4) b) smokers (inside) c) kids (under 14) d) guests afraid of encountering a bug or spider during their stay. All Host properties are treated biweekly for pest and insect control however given these properties are located besides the river, in nature, the occasional bug or spider may be unavoidable and advise guests to adjust their expectations accordingly to their environment. Bring bug spray (or use ours if provided) and don’t let these little critters scare you away from an unforgettable vacation! e) NO PETS OF ANY KIND ALLOWED. Property is NOT pet friendly and is unsafe for dogs or cats due to open water, high elevations, property is not secured from wild animals, there is no pet protection in or around home, and there are items that are easily damaged. Further, Host is responsible to ensure that property has been kept pet-free to keep it available and safe for guests with allergies. Discovery of a pet could result in a sizable cleaning fee and potential immediate termination of stay. If you have a pet, service animal, or ESA, please find another property that is suitable and safe for your pet. As a reminder, check in is at 3p & check out is 11a. Our cleaning team set these times to ensure each property is properly sanitized, stocked and cleaned between each reservation. Please contact your host with your planned arrival time & if you have any special check in needs. I will always try to accommodate guests whenever possible! Skyhouse also provides a full kitchen and washer/dryer. Host does provide campfire wood but guests will need to walk or drive a short distance for pick up if they choose not to bring their own. Fire starter, matches/lighter, and charcoal is not provided, guests are advised to bring their own. (Pro Tip: Shore Stop, a local convenience store just two minutes away, has all your forgotten provisions just in case, including beer, snacks, and wine!) Firewood is located by the Pride Flag on the road. Don't forget to bring your own tubes! Floating is excellent in the summertime! During winter weather, guests are provided shovels and assistance whenever possible for help keeping steps, deck and drive clear :) (Note, given booking in the winter months has foreseeable seasonal weather and natural conditions like winter storms, the Airbnb cancellation policy will stay in effect without exception, therefore guests do book with a known risk of inclement weather.) Lastly, Skyhouse has a Nema 14-50 outlet on site for EV charging at no extra charge! Guests to bring their own charging cord and adapter (Host is happy to provide a Telsa adaptor if needed too).
