This is a great in-law style apartment which was fully renovated in 2020. It can be booked for short stays or more lengthy visits to Northeast CT. The apartment is one minute from Scenic route 169 and Route 6. It is 30 minutes to UCONN and ECSU. We are close toThe Pomfret School/Rectory School. It is 35 mins to Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. My place is rural and peaceful. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. This rental is an approximately 550 square foot in-law apartment situated over the garage of our main home. The entrance is private through the garage and not associated with the main house. There is one bedroom with a queen sized bed and an air mattress that can be used in the living room or kitchen area. There is also one comfortable couch that could be used to sleep on if needed. Please note that space can be tight when the air mattress is in use so this is best for short term stays only. There is a full kitchen and one bathroom with a stand up shower. There is no bath tub. Cable tv/dvd player and wifi are included. An Amazon fire stick is included but please log in and out of your own account. A washer and dryer are also in the apartment. An above ground swimming pool and grill are available for use seasonally Memorial Day to Labor Day. Grounds, a propane grill, and above ground pool are available seasonally We can be as interactive as you need or as absent as you like. The space has a separate entrance so you may not see too much of us. Regular communication can be done by text/phone if easier. *** Please note that all shared spaces are in fact, shared. This includes the entire yard, driveway, and pool area. We do have four children and they can often be seen in the yard or at the pool. While the pool is a shared space, we do respect that some guests would like to use it independently and will honor reasonable requests for uninterrupted time at the pool. The apartment is in a very private wooded setting but still close to basic amenities. There are local pizza and Chinese restaurants, fast food, gas stations, and a Walmart all within a few miles. We are 35 mins from the casinos, 40 mins from Providence and 45 mins from Hartford and Worcester. You’ll need a car in this rural area. Uber is hard to come by here. The driveway is large and parking won’t be an issue ** PLEASE NOTE PET FEE ** All guests who are bringing a pet must include the pet on the booking request. A $50 fee will be added to all bookings which include a pet. We do wish this wasn’t necessary but we have had some guests who have left excessive fur behind. Thank you in advance for understanding! **DOG ON PROPERTY ** Our family dog is the friendliest Golden-Retriever you’ll ever meet. You may often find him roaming the property and he’ll expect lots of petting. Feel free to tell him to “go lay down” if you aren’t a dog person. This command will have him walk away from you and leave you alone. He’s certainly not a guard dog and will greet you with a wide smile 😊 ** FULL FLIGHT OF STAIRS ** There is a full flight of stairs leading to the apartment. The apartment is not the best option for someone who is physically disabled or unable to easily climb one flight of stairs **
