Vermont retreat - Nov 6-10 available!

Lovely Central Vermont rural homestead. Great for exploring Vermont - a retreat or family getaway! Our home offers easy access to trails, excellent farm-fresh products, and all sorts of adventures! We do have chickens that require brief daily chores. Please inquire first with your preferred dates, before you request a booking, as our ability to host is highly dependent on our own travel plans, and it is helpful to discuss chicken duties in advance to make sure it is a good fit - thank you! The space Central Vermont has so much to explore. Our home is in the center of it all, just a few miles outside our quaint capital city of Montpelier. We are in a rural setting with stars filling the dark sky at night, lots of open yard and fields to play in outdoors, whatever season. Our home is warm and bright, with an open floor plan downstairs, a lovely two-story sunroom, and three bedrooms and two baths upstairs. The master bedroom has a king bed, lots of room and its own full bathroom; there is a spare single mattress that can be pulled out for use upstairs. Our teenagers’ rooms include one room has a queen bed and the other a double bed. Wood floors and lovely wood furnishings throughout; we care about quality and keep our home tidy and ready for guests! We have a really sweet hypoallergenic Siberian kitten who loves to play and snuggle, and we have a flock of chickens that require just a little bit of care. It is only a few minutes of time daily, and comes with fresh eggs! Because we live here full time with teen children, we are not always able to accommodate booking requests. Our home is a good fit for adults, multiple couples, and families with older children or babies. It is not currently a good fit for toddlers and very young children because we are not able to childproof the house these days. Guest access With plenty of parking in the driveway, a large yard and beautiful gardens, there is ample space and privacy. There is a deck with a gas grill for your enjoyment and family friendly books, toys and games. Other things to note Please send a message/inquiry as a first step, to see if dates work for you and us, before sending a booking reservation request. Thank you! We have a flock of chickens that require guests to do a few chores. But that comes with fresh eggs! Please also note that we expect guests to separate recyclables and compost food waste. These are now required by law in Vermont of all residents and businesses, and there will be a $50 fee if there is substantial food waste or recyclables mixed into the trash.
