Fall is coming soon! Enjoy a trip to beautiful South Haven along the shores of Lake Michigan. Driftwood Shores is a charming 1,680 sq. ft. home in the Harbor Club Resort. It has everything you need to enjoy a peaceful family vacation, friends getaway, or girls weekend out. The Resorts Indoor/Outdoor Pool with retractable roof and outdoor hot tub is open year around from 7 AM to 10 PM (9-10PM Adults only). It is included with your stay The space No need to worry about keys. The front door and garage door both have keypads for entry. The key code will be provided with a welcome letter that is sent to you one week before your arrival. This letter will also help you plan your trip with tips of things to do, hikes, etc. The Home: Immerse yourself in the “Lake Life” with light and airy beach decor. Custom created art adds to the charm. You will even have a special hand crafted gift to take home with you! The main level of the house has an open concept with a nice sized living room which includes a 50” Smart TV and Wi-Fi. The first floor also includes a half bath and full laundry room. Upstairs, there are three fully appointed bedrooms. Each has fresh linens. The master suite has a king-size bed (New PuffyLux Hybrid mattress Spring 2025), sitting area, large private full bath, a walk in closet and its own Smart TV. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and a Smart TV. The third bedroom is the “bunk room”. It is equipped with a twin over twin Bunk bed (New Christmas 2024) as well as a double bed (New (Christmas 2024). There is also an air mattress that is available for use. We’ve even included some games, puzzles and a few toys! There is a one car attached garage. In the summer, it will be filled with amenities for you to enjoy. You will find four adult bikes, two sit on top kayaks and two kayaks appropriate for people 150 pounds or less. Also, there is a little red wagon, corn hole, and many beach toys/floats for younger children. In the winter, it can be your storage area for winter gear and toys. Kayaks: No need to rent expensive kayaks, you have access to four kayaks to use every day of your stay for FREE! As opposed to lifting and tying the kayaks to the top of your car, there are two pull carriers. All you have to do is walk the kayaks the short quarter mile to the marina, drop them in and off you go. Once on the water, you have access to the Black River in one direction and the entrance to Lake Michigan in the other. There are also two adult life jackets and two youth life jackets. Backyard: In the back yard, you can use the gas grill to prepare your dinner and relax on the patio around the propane fire pit in the evening. There are also two sun loungers. (The Fire Pit will not be accessible from November until approximately the end of March.) The house and neighborhood is great for adults, teens, and young kids. Driftwood Shores is the last home in the circle and has no home to the right of it. So it is quiet, peaceful, and safe. Harbor Club Resort: Driftwood Shores is located in Harbor Club Resort - a beautiful, safe, and newly developed resort in between Lake Michigan (less than ½ mile away) and the Black River Marina (¼ mile away). The resort is in the midst of 40 acres of preserved woodlands and wetlands with walking paths and roads throughout. There is also a large community fire pit a short walk away. The Resort now has 2 Pools! With your rental, you will have free access to the resort Outdoor Pool and Clubhouse near the Marina, and the NEW heated Indoor Pool with retractable roof and outdoor hot tub, which is a couple hundred yards from our home. With the two Perception kayaks, you will have free access to the Black River and the South Haven pier’s entrance into Lake Michigan. At the marina, you can also rent a power boat or golf cart. In South Haven, golf carts are allowed to be used on most of the streets. The new Pool with retractable roof is available to use from 7 AM to 9 PM. It is adults only from 9 to 10 PM. There is a hot tub for adults. Location and Things to Do: Driftwood Shores House is in a convenient location. It is the hub of all of your adventures! You will be within a 5 minute drive to downtown South Haven with many small boutique stores, unique restaurants and fun bakeries. Also in town you will find the newly rebuilt Kids Corner playground, a Splash Pad for kids at South Beach, and the New Michigan Maritime Museum. South Haven has 7 different public beaches that allow you to enjoy beautiful Lake Michigan. (Please bring your own beach towels.) The closest beach to Driftwood Shores is Newcome Beach, a short 10 minute (½ mile) walk. There is nothing better than walking to the beach to see the sunset! South Haven has unbeatable Sunsets any time of year and was recently named one of "The 15 Most Beautiful Towns in America" by World Atlas! Beside Newcome Beach, there are 6 other beaches that you can get to by walking or driving in just a few minutes. Spend the day at the beach, pool, or marina, or take a walk or bike ride on the Kal-Haven State Park Trail, named a Pure Michigan top trail in Michigan! Spend time fishing on Lake Michigan from the South Haven pier, or walking to the South Haven lighthouse, a perfect backdrop for a family photo! Driftwood Shores is close to two beautiful golf courses, with other Award winning courses within a short drive, including the Jack Nicklaus designed Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor. It is also close to many wineries. We are also situated in the middle of day trips to Saugatuck and Holland to the North (both within 20 minutes), and St. Joseph/Benton Harbor to the South (also within 20 minutes). If you want some great fruit, South Haven is the Blueberry capital. You can go fruit picking at a number of small farms or stop in The Blueberry Store for unique tastes and gifts. WINTER ACTIVITIES: You will find there are many Winter activities to help you enjoy your trip to South Haven. From Cross Country skiing, to snow shoeing, ice skating at the town's covered ice rink, snowmobiling, walks along the beach viewing the frozen lake, and more! If you want to stay warm, there is a nice movie theater, and plenty of small shops to visit. Also, the resort clubhouse has a nice fireplace, a tv, and plenty of comfortable seating. Check in/Check out times: For all stays- While 4 PM is our standard check in time to make sure the house is ready for our guests, we do our best to get guests in earlier if possible. Throughout the Summer in 2025, we were able to get our guests in no later than 3:00 PM, usually 2:30 PM! (It can depend on previous guests check out time, any extra cleaning, etc.) Check out time is before 11 AM EST. Guest access Guests can use all of the home and have access, included with the rental of the home, to the new indoor pool with retractable roof and outdoor hot tub, and the outdoor pool and clubhouse by the marina. Other things to note Harbor Club Association Rules Applicability These rules apply to all homeowners, residents, and guests, including short-term and long-term renters. ● Homeowners are responsible for ensuring anyone occupying their home understands and follows these rules. ● Renters and guests are subject to the same standards as owners. ● Property managers and rental agencies must include these rules in listings and guest communications. Part 1 – Community Rules & Standards 1. Pool & Spa Rules – NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY REMINDER: South Haven Noise Ordinance Effective 10 PM Emergency: Call 911 ADA Lift: Available — contact management prior to use Renter Hours: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM Adults Only After 9 PM General Use ● Hot tub is ADULTS ONLY. ● Pool and spa are for the private use of Harbor Club homeowners and their guests. ● Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. ● Proper swim attire is required; swim diapers must be worn when applicable. ● Shower before entering the pool and remove sand to protect equipment. ● Pool enclosure should be opened or closed by management only. ● Close all doors and windows on the enclosure before leaving in winter months. ● Pool furniture must remain in the pool area and be returned to original locations after use. ● Please dispose of all trash properly. ● Be considerate of others using the pool and spa. Prohibited Actions ● Do not prop the entry gate open. ● Do not adjust fans or overhead heaters. ● Do not stand on the spa cover or leave it open after use. ● Do not use serums, soaps, bubbles, or oils in the pool or spa. ● Do not remove furniture from the pool area. ● Do not smoke or vape within the pool enclosure. ● Do not bring food, glass, or pets into the pool area. ● Do not leave personal toys, floats, or equipment behind. ● No running or diving. ● No loud music; personal devices may only be used with headphones. ● No pets allowed in the pool area. Safety Reminders ● Surfaces around the pool and spa are slippery – use caution. ● The restroom is cleaned daily in season; please leave it tidy. 2. Pets - Driftwood Shores does not allow pets 3. Vehicles & Parking Each home has designated parking areas, which may include: ● Inside the garage (if applicable and available) ● The driveway directly in front of the garage, and ● One or two parking spaces located in front of the home Residents, Homeowners, and Vacation Guests must park only in the designated parking spots for their rental home or in the designated overflow areas. All additional vehicles must be parked in the overflow parking areas provided throughout the community. Additional rules: ● Only standard passenger vehicles may be parked outdoors. ● No parking or storage of boats, trailers, RVs, motorcycles, or commercial vehicles unless inside a garage. ● Parking on roads is not permitted — emergency and service vehicles must always have access. 4. Noise & Conduct ● South Haven Noise Ordinance is effective at 10 PM ● Outdoor construction noise is limited to 7am-6pm, Monday-Saturday. ● No loud, obnoxious, or offensive activity. ● Observe speed limits and be cautious of children playing or riding bikes. ● Fireworks are prohibited at all times. 5. Rule Violations & Fines Violations of these rules or the Master Deed/Bylaws will result in written notification from LASR and/or the Board and fines as follows: Offense Consequence First Offense Written Reprimand Second Offense $100 Fine Third Offense $300 Fine Fourth+ Offense $500 Fine ● Fines or assessments resulting from violations by renters or guests will be charged to the homeowner’s account. ● The homeowner is solely responsible for recovering any related costs from their renters or rental agency. ● Repeat offenses after notice will result in cumulative fines. ● Unpaid fines beyond 20 days may become a lien against the lot. ● Any disputes will be addressed as indicated in Part 2 - Paragraph 13. below.
