Have the entire Bay Area at your fingertips... & right outside your window! This private studio tucked into the Oakland Foothills is the perfect base for adventures. A 9min drive & you can be on the train into San Francisco. Coliseum & redwoods are minutes away, as are many other attractions*. You’ll be welcomed home to a comfy Cal King bed & a serene garden view. Enjoy coffee/tea as you settle in at the table, & our high speed wifi has you covered. Have an EV? Charge Level 2 overnight (J1772)! The space Completely separate, private entrance, quiet and hidden getaway, but quick and easy 580 freeway access. Apart from hot days when someone will need to water the garden, you would never even know there are other folks around! The space is technically a studio, but it's a big, open space with a divided higher area with a glorious California King bed, plenty of organizational space, and a lower area with a modern and convenient kitchenette, and an abundance of natural light (but darkening shades for those mornings when you need it). The Garden Suite is a generally quiet and cool space, but during rare aforementioned heat spikes, please note that A/C is not a listed amenity. In addition, there are two flights of stairs leading down to the Garden Suite, so please keep that in mind if it is a health risk. Enjoy your oasis among the trees! Guest access Guests will have the full run of the Garden Suite and the lower area. Come and go as you please, since you will not have to walk through any shared space to enter or leave your domain. Please keep in mind there are many steps leading down to the Garden Suite. Safety warnings are included in several places among the property description, and in addition, please be sure that long staircases are not an issue for you -- as we tell ourselves every day, we have to earn our view! :) Other things to note We know this is a strange thing to have to mention to adults, but PLEASE, NO EATING IN THE BED (we only include this now because a guest did this and ruined the sheets). There is a table with chairs, plates and silverware, plus napkins galore. If you stain any of the bedding, we will unfortunately have to charge you to replace them. Thank you! *We are quietly tucked away, but still close to things. Off-street parking is included, but if you do not want to rent a car, it is easy to get rideshare service.
