Share your memories with us @whiteoakcottageco The space Our cozy and renovated lakehouse offers a tranquil escape to a minimalistic modern & rustic atmosphere. Spacious 2000+ square foot house with 4 bedrooms and 1.5 bath, fully equipped kitchen and dining space, two large terraces, spacious backyard area with a propane fire pit , and private dock (with complimentary kayak access) overlooking Lake Wilcox with direct sunset views. Walking distance to all the nearby amenities at Wilcox Park (beach volleyball, basketball courts, picnic areas, children's splash pad, skatepark, ice skating - the list goes on!) and minutes away from all necessities and other activities (golf courses, biking/hiking trails, treetop trekking) - this lakehouse is the perfect spot to unwind and relax while offering access to endless activities all year-round. Come getaway with us and enjoy the serene sunset views while kayaking, boating, fishing, hiking, biking, golfing, skating, or just some R&R - no matter the season, this home is yours to enjoy in its entirety! Guest access Private access to the entire house Other things to note Outdoor Space: Enjoy the sunset on our expansive dock with direct water access (complimentary usage of two kayaks during summer season), two patios, and a spacious backyard with outdoor picnic tables (can seat 12 people comfortably). Three to four parking spots on driveway (depending on size of cars). Indoor Space: Cozy up and play board games with friends & family, or enjoy a movie on our 75" Smart TV. BBQ & Bonfire Pit: Grill a delicious meal on the propane BBQ (1 tank of propane provided), or enjoy s'mores on the propane fire pit with ample seating (Note: Additional propane can be purchased at nearby Canadian Tire & Home Depot). Kitchen & Dining: Fully equipped open kitchen with both small & large appliances (including toaster, kettle, microwave, dishwasher), dishes, utensils, cookware, glassware, cooking essentials (oil, spice rack), cleaning supplies, and a Keurig for your morning coffees with a view. Work From Home: Elevate your WFH environment with an office table and chair in the master bedroom, complete with waterfront views. Sleeping Arrangements: Be well-rested and pick from our four bedrooms, three with queen sized beds and one with two single beds. Bath & Laundry. Access to washer and dryer. Shampoo, body wash, conditioner, lotion, and hair dryer provided. Please treat our home with respect by following our house rules: - We have a strict no pet / no party / no smoking (incl. vapes, e-cigs) / no drug policy - please treat our home & neighbours with respect. If house rules are not adhered to, guests may be asked to leave immediately without refund. Any additional cleaning and/or damages will result in a fine up to $1000 from the security deposit. - Guests are liable for any and all damage and/or injuries. - We have surveillance cameras installed outside the property for the safety of our guests and property - these should not be disconnected or covered at any time. There are no cameras inside the house. - Due to the quick turnaround time between guest stays and infrequent garbage collection schedule, we unfortunately cannot hold any garbage for our guests. All guests are expected to bring all their garbage with them upon check out (waste removal site is 10 min away by car and charges $10 for garbage - recycling is free). Any garbage left behind will be subject to a fee. - We are located in a quiet residential neighbourhood and quiet hours are enforced from 8PM - 8AM (no outdoor music at all after 8PM) - if there are any complaints from our neighbours or noise complaints with the police - guests may be asked to leave the property and will be solely responsible for any fines. - Lake Wilcox is not recommended for swimming as per the city of Richmond Hill given it is unregulated - guests who swim in the lake do so at their own risk
