Just so you know Pine In is surrounded by tall, mature pines that thunder in a stiff wind and whisper in a gentle one and that is why we named this secluded home 'Pine IN' short for 'in the pines'. New wood floors, wood trim, large windows throughout and a woods and nature motif was designed to match the inside of Pine In to the outside so our guests can happily disappear from the hectic world and into nature. Bring your binoculars to bird watch or catch a glimpse from the 12x16 wood deck of the many creatures utilizing the busy deer run including our resident black bear. There is a large firepit and plenty of dead wood in the surrounding woods for campfires and night time is pitch black for stargazing. There is also ample parking for boats or jet skis. Inside a smart TV, internet and wifi are provided as well as central heat/air, a fully equipped kitchen, full bath and laundry facilities. The bedrooms at Pine In are located at opposite ends of the home to allow extra peace and privacy. Access to pristine Six Mile Lake at Echo Township Park is just a short distance down the road for fishing, water sports or loon watching in summer or ice fishing or cross country skiing in winter. Hike or bike the rural roads. Several golf courses for every skill level are within a scenic 20 minute drive as are several winter ski resorts (Boyne, Shanty Creek, Schuss Mountain) as well as Torch Lake and Lake Michigan. If you don't want to cook local restaurants offer a variety of cuisines and there are several wineries and breweries in the area. Friske Farm Market in Atwood has the best donuts on the planet and a beautiful gift shop full of Michigan products and we have several Amish communities in the area as well that offer a variety of baked goods and produce. We feel that our low nightly rates offer our guests the opportunity to afford daytime excursions to many of the popular tourist towns, beautiful lakes and golf courses and pride ourselves at being 'in the middle of everything'! So come north and have fun!!! Then return to Pine In... your home away from home...a clean, quiet place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Also, we offer Off SEASON SPECIALS and, due to our excellent guests no cleaning fees!! Guest access Access to Pine In is past where your GPS stops you on Six Mile Lake Rd. Continue about 400 feet farther north to the corner of Gardner Rd and turn left. Proceed 400 feet to Pine In driveway on your left. The Pine In property borders both Six Mile Lake Rd and Gardner Rd but access is from Gardner Rd only. Park at the fence by the garage and walk through the yard entering through the sliding glass door at the top of the new 12x16 deck. Other things to note IMPORTANT information about your reservation: Please note that the number of guests registered when reserving Pine In is the maximum allowed at any time on the premises during your stay. Extra guests or visitors will terminate your stay. Pine In, although located in a private rural setting, operates in a residential area. Please be mindful of this and keep music at a respectful level. Also, animals of any kind are not allowed anywhere on the property. Guests with severe allergies and breathing issues depend on an atmosphere free of dander, pet hair, etc in order to enjoy their stay without worry. Please respect their right to do so. FYI...there is a water softener and there is no garbage disposal so please do not dump food down the kitchen drain. You will notice that there are no extra cleaning or other fees (except for Airbnb's fees) being charged to you.
