This comfortably modern duplex is located in the heart of Terlingua, less than 8 mins from the Western entrance of the National Park, and even closer (4 mins) to Study Butte and the Terlingua Ghost Town. Enjoy elegant accommodations with unlimited views of the stunning mountain terrain: including the Chisos Mountains and Santa Elena Canyon! Come stay and play in one of the most beautiful and conveniently located places around! The space This listing is for ONE suite only (i.e. one half of the duplex). Each suite is a one room studio-style bungalow, complete with a plush queen bed, cozy living room (with 2 small futons), private bathroom and shower, kitchenette (coffee/tea maker, microwave, cook top, and a mini fridge (no freezer)), WIFI, heat/air conditioning and a private porch. **Four adults in one suite is rather snug but is doable, and the futons are small but comfortable if you have 4 adults in your party and choose to book one suite only* This place was designed and built by nature lovers for nature lovers. The elevation and orientation of the house allow you to enjoy as much of the mountain vistas, sunrises, sunsets and, of course, the immeasurable night sky as readily possible. Take in the beauty of Chihuahuan Desert from all angles. The location is one of the best around - easily accessible to any vehicle, a very short drive to both Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park, an even shorter drive to all of the local bars, restaurants and shopping, yet tucked away just enough it would seem like your own private paradise. **If you would like to reserve both Suites you will have to reserve them each separately** (i.e. reserving Suite A doesn't automatically reserve Suite B)** **Please carefully read the information provided about this suite INCLUDING the cancellation policy before booking. The cancellation policy will stand as is agreed upon at the time of booking - We highly suggest purchasing travel insurance for your trip. Deep Rock does not provide travel insurance** Guest access You are set up with keyless entry to your suite. The code will be given to you via the Airbnb app just prior to your arrival. Parking is located behind the building. From there you will see the Suites labeled A and B (A is closest to the highway, B is closest to the mountain). If you are traveling with a trailer or more than one car, message me for info on overflow parking. Other things to note Be aware that the only grocery store closes at 9pm and restaurants shut down at 10pm. Restaurants: (If you’re traveling on weekends, during holidays, or in the spring (March especially!) it’s best to get to any restaurant early. We only have a few restaurants in town and tourism is booming, so sometimes the wait to get a table can be up to 2.5 hours). Note: The summer months in Terlingua bring rain. July, August, and September are our monsoon season where we get most of our much needed rain for the year (hopefully!). That being said, it’s a wonderful time to visit as the afternoon rains cool everything down and the desert turns green with happy plants. Occasionally the storms will knock out the power, as Terlingua and Lajitas are at the tail end of the power grid. It’s simply on facet of living in a slow-paced, small, remote town.
