Coburn On The Creek- Fly Fishing & Family Retreat

Located in the heart of Penns Valley, this charming house sits on the banks of Pine and Elk creek just upstream from the confluence of Penns Creek. Conveniently nestled 22 miles from Penn State and 30 mins from Bucknell University. Whether its fly fishing in the front yard on a stretch of private stream or reading a book on the patio while your kids are at Camp Woodward, this place has something for everyone. Featuring 2 fire pits, BBQ gas grill, prime fishing access, and river tubes included. The space Coburn on the Creek is a cozy cottage style house with wood floors throughout. It has a covered front porch with a view of the creek, a second story balcony and a patio with a view of the woods. This is a perfect property for a country getaway for friends and family. Please no parties or events. Quiet(er) hours begin at sundown. Pets are permitted on a leash. No pet fee, donation based as you see fit. A high chair, baby gate, side rail for bed and other children’s items are available. In the summer guests are invited to pick flowers, tomatoes and other garden goodies. Each upstairs bedroom has a window AC unit. There is a flatscreen TV in the living room and we offer full cable TV that has ESPN, ESPN2, and the Big 10 network and much more. There are 3 fire pits on the property, one large one in the front yard by the creek, a small one on the patio for quieter gatherings and a small one at the Riffle Lounge on the fisherman's path. Some firewood is provided by the host but you may need to access some from the woods if needed. While we strive to keep the house clean and comfortable for our guests please remember that we are a small country cottage and not a full service lodge. We live at the end of the street and are happy to assist you in having a great stay and enjoying the property as much as we do. As a bonus our guests also have access to a series of creekside trails and hidden spots amongst the adjacent property along the "Fishermans Path" to the Riffle lounge. This is great for creek sits, short tube runs, fishing or just relaxing by the water. Fishing is all catch and release.The hosts will take you on the tour during the overview of the property. *No wading off property- *No live bait, treble hooks or large barbed hooks *Catch and Release Fishing Only Other things to note -Children under 10 don’t count as an extra guest. - Pets are welcome on a donation basis - Pay what you want / can / or what you think your furball is worth. There is a jar in the house. ****If your pets get on furniture or empty beds please bring a blanket or sheet.
