Description
Endless stars, profound silence, abundant wildlife, expansive views, two blocks from town! This stay is very different from city life, and nothing like a hotel stay. Please read every section carefully. The tiny cabin has WiFi, a gas fireplace, solar lighting and a double-sized bed. •Off-grid •Minimal solar electricity • USB charging station •Dry •No running water •Bucket shower •Composting toilet •Outdoor campstove The space Aspen walls surround you in this tiny (8'x16') dwelling in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. View the unforgettable sunrises, sunsets, visiting wildlife, & the Milky Way in your private fenced patio. We do not advertise a kitchen among our amenities & the cabin is priced accordingly, but there are some utensils & basic cooking supplies, as well as a camp stove and a non-working mini fridge that can be used as a cooler (We put a block of ice in the freezer before you arrive. when it melts we can give you a new one). The bucket shower system will get you clean, but many of our guests visit one of the local hot springs -with unlimited hot water- either before or after their stay. Guest access You have a private entrance and are surrounded by a privacy fence. You can park in front of the cabin fence. At your own risk (our property is on the site of a former rodeo and the old Crestone Firehouse stables, so buried broken glass and rusty nails could be anywhere. Wear closed shoes): check out the garden and viewing tower at the south end of the property (just lift the lock on the gate, and lock it when you leave the garden). Relax in the shade of the gazebo in the summer. Enjoy the birds and visiting wildlife year-round. Other things to note Feel free, at your own risk, to sit in the garden gazebo or the sunset tower at the south end of the property. Please wear closed shoes as we are on the site of a former rodeo and the old Crestone Firehouse stables.
