Walking distance to South Kingstown Beach, East Matunuck Beach, Potter Pond and Deep hole a popular surfing and fishing area. For eats - The Ocean Mist, The Pub, Matunuck Pizza, Ice cream shop, surfside coffee in the Matunuck pizza offering coffee and baked goods and Seaview Market Place all within walking distance. The space Enjoy your stay at the Marilla a vintage boarding house circa 1902. The building contains 6 apartments. There are 5 apartments ready for your enjoyment. This being an apartment building, there may be someone next door , above or below you. Please be considerate of others with noise. If you are someone who is sensitive to noise or likes to sleep late, maybe bring sleep phones or choose another location to stay. This apartment has a ground floor entrance and is a townhouse style with the kitchen and living room on first floor and bedrooms and bathroom on second floor. You will enter in the front of the building. The door for the apartment is on the left. A mini fridge is located in the upstairs back bedroom for your convenience. ** You will need to use stairs to get to the bedrooms and bathroom. ( view pictures) ** Please consider your mobility prior to booking this apartment. ** We do not childproof the apartment or stairs. BEACH: Walk to the Town beach, a right when leaving the building, the town beach is about a 1/3 mile away. We do have town beach parking passes if you would like to drive, please inquire. We provide internet access with a Roku streaming device for TV. TV in kitchen/ living area as well as front bedroom. If you have a subscription to NetFlix, Amazon Prime, CBS ect you can sign in with your username and password. Roku also offers other viewing options such as Pluto TV and YouTube. The back bedroom also has a TV. It is a Fire TV (Amazon). Parking is in the rear of the building. This apartment entrance is in the front. Use cobblestone walkway to get to the front of the building to enter apartment unit 4. You may park in front to unload, then move car to back of building. ****** When we are at full occupancy we provide one parking space for this apartment. This is important to note so all our guests have adequate parking. ***** If you would like to have a guest park in the lot, please contact us. We can not guarantee there will be enough space in the lot. There are six apartments in the building. We may ask for your car plate number . This is to ensure people parking in our lot actually are staying with us. Check out is 10 AM. You may continue to use the parking lot and outdoor shower on check out day until 2pm if you wish. Plenty of options to eat out - Restaurants, ice cream shop The Vanilla Bean and Seaview Market Place ( groceries and sandwiches) all within walking distance. Carpenter's farm a bit further, walking distance for some others may choose to drive. but also enjoy a home cooked meal in your private kitchen . Propane gas grill on front patio is for your use. ( shared with apartment 5) Apartments are bright and clean. Recently remodeled. Available outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Outdoor sitting areas. Guest access We are within walking distance to the town beach. Walk on the side walk right side of road toward the Ocean mist. You will come to a sign Karen's crosswalk and see a painted crossing area on the road. It is the second cross walk from the apartment. This is before the road bends to the right. There is an opening in the shrubs ahead along RV parking area. This is the walk on area. about 1/3 mile. If you get to the Vanilla bean, you have gone to far. If you have mobility issues you will need to purchase a parking pass which can be obtained at the town beach on a first come first serve basis. We do not provide daily parking passes. East beach, the state beach is a bit longer of a walk but doable for most. Out the building to the left heading to deep hole. Follow road as it bends to the left, follow Ocean Ave to the waterfront access. Other things to note There isn't a package store in Matunuck within walking/ biking distance.
