Bedrooms are spacious and well appointed with luxurious bedding and mountain views. * Fully Equipped Kitchen * Custom kitchen has everything needed for cooking and entertaining. No harsh chemicals and no artificial fragrances. - We provide an ample selection of children's books, family games, puzzles, novels, local guidebooks, and hiking & biking trail information. - Stargazing! With no light pollution the night sky is the beautifully dark and perfect for stargazing. - The house is heated/cooled with Mitsubishi mini-split units & every bedroom has a ceiling fan. - The 2,100 sq ft was recently remodeled (down to the studs) and has all new furnishings. - We live on the mountain year round and are available should guests need us. - All Are Welcome Here. Other things to note GRAVEL ROAD The house is located 2 miles up a gravel road. All types of vehicles can access the location, including sedans and minivans, but the road is still under construction post-Helene. Expect some bumps as you make your way up the hill. THE MOUNTAIN VIEWS ARE WORTH THE BUMPS! BLACK BEAR COUNTRY Our forest is full of wildlife including deer, coyotes, bobcats, turkeys, and black bear. Although the bears are not aggressive, and usually run away when they see humans, please use common sense and give bears a safe distance. Do not try to approach them for photographs and please, please, please do not leave out food, or garbage, and DO NOT LEAVE FOOD IN YOUR VEHICLE OR THE BEARS WILL BREAK INTO YOUR CAR!
