Our house is being restored with respect for it's historic significance to the College Hill District, Burlington & Missouri Railroad and Saline County. Frank Stephens built this home in 1883. He was the founder of Crete Nuseries which populated the county with trees. The house has served many families and many purposes in nearly 140 years. We are happy to share a piece of that history with our guests! Come sit under our trees! The space Guests will enjoy an open plan master suite and parlor with private entrance. We provide high speed internet and cable television as well as a quiet spot to sit on the porch. Enjoy a soak in the clawfoot tub after your travels or work. Guest access We feature a private entry into the parlor where you can enjoy secure high speed internet and hundreds of cable channels to choose from. You can relax on the front porch or watch the world go by from our generous windows. We have a comfortable table/desk space for your work on the road and still feel at home! The master bedroom suite features ceiling fan, generous size closet and master bath with an antique clawfoot tub. We provide towels and linens. The master suite has a pillow top full size bed. It opens to the parlor where we can provide additional sleeping arrangements. Please message us so we can help with your needs. Our guests will enjoy having a microwave and mini fridge and Keurig at their disposal. Dishes and flatware are provided (by request during the pandemic). Our house is accessible for guests with mobility challenges; minimum door frame is 30" and accomodates most manual wheelchairs, shower and toilet grab bars installed. Some amenities such as flatware and dishes will still be available only upon request to ensure proper sanitation for everyone's comfort and safety. Our property is smoke and vape free and pet friendly. Although our pets do love company, they will be kept from guest areas. We ask that you contact us prior to making a reservation if you are planning to travel with your pet so we can determine if we are a good fit for your small animal.
