Our Queen Anne Victorian was built in 1906 and has a fascinating history. (ask if you are interested!) There are other apartments in the house. Outdoor space is shared. We live in the College Hill Historic District, a quaint neighborhood with homes built between 1890 and 1930. With 2 college campuses one block away to the east and west, the area is very lively and interesting without being busy. The bus stops are located 2 doors away (inbound) and a quarter mile away (outbound.) The Amtrak station/bus depot is about 1 mile from home. Piedmont Triad International Airport is a 20 minute drive. Also Uber, Lyft and Lime Bikes, of course! This apartment is accessed via a circular stair. Most guests are very comfortable with it but it can be a challenge if you are bringing very large luggage or have mobility issues. The walls in our house transmit sound more than walls in a hotel or apartment building. Please be considerate of other tenants/guests by keeping noise levels reasonable at all times and respecting quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM. We use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination. We provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay. We supply hand sanitizer for your use. We comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines.
