This 3-story home with river view is great for family groups and friends. The large eat-in kitchen opens to the living area and back porch bar and is perfect for socializing while preparing meals. 3 bedrooms, 3 baths and a loft area with 4 built-in bunk beds, sleeps 10 total (all in comfortable beds). 3 porches to relax and enjoy the river view. House is convenient to the pool, fitness center, chapel, petting zoo and docks. Private covered parking ground level. No smoking and no pets please. Steinhatchee Landing Resort is located three miles upsteam from the Gulf of Mexico on the banks of the Steinhatchee River. Nestled among moss-draped oaks and towering pines, the resort offers a natural Florida paradise unlike any other. Designed to look like an Old Florida-style riverside village, the 70 tin-roofed Victorian and Cracker cottages blend historic architecture with contemporary amenities for a truly unique getaway. The wedding chapel and conference center are available for rent. Tennis, pickle ball, basketball, badmitton/volleyball, archery, shuffle board, fitness center, large pool, hot tub, sauna, playground, ping pong, bocce, petting zoo, boat docks and walking trails are open to guests. I'm available for questions by phone, text or email. Steinhatchee has been a famous fishing destination for generations, with freshwater and saltwater fishing year-round. Great fishing can be found both inshore, offshore and on the fly for big catches of redfish, grouper, sea trout, flounder, sea bass, snapper, cobia and more. During the summer at Steinhatchee, scalloping takes center stage. The Steinhatchee area is known as 'Florida's Scallop Capital,' as the Gulf waters make an ideal habitat for these delicious shellfish. Scalloping season typically opens late June and ends mid-September each year. Other popular recreational opportunities in the area include bird watching, hiking, hunting, canoeing, kayaking, scuba diving, cave diving, nature photography, and visiting the many state parks in the area. Boat rentals and charters are available through the local marinas. Car, bike or walk is the best way to get around. There are 3 covered parking spots under the house, plus an uncovered spot on the side.
