Lotus Yurt

We are centrally located between Ithaca (9miles),Trumansburg(7miles),Watkins Glen(15 miles),and Lake Seneca wine country (12 miles) . A perfect location to stay while wanting to explore the figerlakes or simply get away from the everyday hustle. The land is surrounded by meadows and wildlife. Enjoy a cup of coffee while listening to the birds sing and nature speak. The yurt is located near a 2 acre pond,which brings in many beautiful animals from Blue Heron, Ducks,Frogs,Turtles,and more. The space COVID 19 UPDATE: This is a perfect location if you are wanting to isolate. The structure has it's own driveway and entrance. We do a deep clean, run and defuse anit-bacterial/viral essentail oils, and disinfect the space after each stay. Our intention is to keep everyone safe during these times. Please be aware of your own sanitary practices while staying here, but most importantly relax and let go! Here at eagle breeze homestead We aim to create a space that is family and animal friendly, as well as being affordable. You are welcomed to bring your four legged friends, just know there are multiple structures people can rent on this property and they too may have their friends with them. We also have 4 dogs that run on the farm, they are rarely leashed and wander the property freely, if you have a reactive dog please do not bring them with you. Friendly dogs only!! There are also goats that live very close to this structure, on the other side of the wooden fence-if you aren’t familiar with goats they can be noisy!! Especially in the morning when wanting breakfast! They are vocal, please do not rent here if that is going to be a point of contention for you. Most guests greatly enjoy them and feel free to feed them veggies! We no longer provide bedding,towels,or wash clothes - this means BRING YOUR OWN, you will need to bring your own sheets or sleeping bags, pillow cases, towels,wash clothes,etc. We made this decision after hosting continually for 4 years and having to do back to back change overs. The amount of wash with our sensitive septic no longer felt sustainable. Thanks for being understanding.That being said if you happen to do Instant book the day of you will NOT be provided with any blankets or towels. The beds have protective covers over them and there are pillows with protective covers as well. To clarify again you must bring your own sheets,pillow cases,and towels. This is a good size yurt with a small loft for extra sleeping space. A kitchenette is built in with a small propane camper oven and mini fridge with freezer. All utensils,dinnerware, and cookware is provided,but please tend with care- wash and put away please!!! There is a porta potty outside the yurt. The shower is located directly outside the yurt,off the porch. There is a propane hot water on demand located in the bathroom area,which provides warm water to both the shower and kitchen sink. Please note, this is homestead life which offers a sort of glamping type experience. There is electric and lights through out theyurt, however please be conscious of the energy consumption-together we can help this planet! The only heating source is a woodstove, please keep this in mind while packing. Our days can be hot and our nights chilly,however not always cold enough to want a fire so warm clothes is key! There is an outdoor fire pit that you are welcomed to enjoy,but please provide your own wood. The pond is beautiful,but please do not enter. Directly outside the yurt is our berry garden,there may be times we are watering and tending the plants nearby,however most of the time it will be your private lot. Please do not pick anything from our garden, we work very hard all year long maintaining the area so we ourselves can enjoy the fruits of our labor. Feel free to enjoy the land, but do not enter the fenced area. This is where the hosts live and the fence is there to give them privacy. We hope you enjoy your stay!
