Welcome to Base Camp-your home station for adventures and/or relaxation! Base Camp is situated in the heart of all that North East Georgia has to offer. In the surrounding areas, there are many options for hiking, fishing, sightseeing, and more. After a long day of adventures, return home to rest and relax in luxury. Base Camp boasts cozy rustic décor with a gas fireplace, flat screen TV, high speed fiber optic internet and a covered porch overlooking the Soque River. The cabin has a master suite on the main floor with a queen size bed and full bathroom. The bathroom is fitted with a stand up shower and jetted tub. It has a beautiful open concept living room / kitchen / dining area where everyone can gather together. In addition to the master suite queen bed and the oversized futon in the living room, the loft hosts two full beds with tons of room. The cabin is nestled on almost two acres of land with great access to the Soque River, less than half a mile from where it transitions into the Chattahoochee River. In addition to the cabin, the property is loaded with areas to enjoy the great out doors no matter what time a year. In these areas, we have added fire pits, seating, a cornhole set and 2 kayaks for your use. The trail to the river can be steep for older guests. Please bring your own fire wood and use the trails, fire pit and kayaks at your own risk. After use, please lean the kayaks and paddles back against the tree near the river. Guests have access to the entire property from the parking area in front of the cabin to the river. The parking area is flat and spacious enough for 2-3 cars. We do not live very far from the cabin, and we also have friends and family nearby that help us take care of things. Please feel free to reach out if you need anything! We have great neighbors in the area. All cabins are personally owned but can be rented to others from time to time. Base Camp is minutes away from grocery stores (Wal-Mart and Ingles), dining, wineries, hiking, waterfalls, and much more. Explore the historical Appalachian Trail, Tallulah Gorge State Park, or Black Rock Mountain State Park. Experience exhilarating whitewater rafting or go on a quest for the best antiques. Enjoy a day on the lake with boating, fishing, or swimming. There is something for everyone in North Georgia! Please be aware that this is literally a cabin in the woods. In order to reach Base Camp, you will be required to drive down a dirt road (approximately 2 miles). Drive slowly and be on the lookout for wildlife and oncoming vehicles. 4x4 is not required. Small 2 wheel drive cars come in and out all the time.
