There will be an extra guest fee of 60.00 per person. If there are only 2 of you but you want both rooms, book for 3 people. We are near several wedding venues, 4 mi. to the Blenheim venue. (Check with their shuttle service which runs by my house). There are 3 restaurants in walking distance. Nearby hiking, quaint towns and the NY safety track. Your private and spacious guest quarters upstairs are kept sparkling clean. Your bedroom has AC and a king size comfy bed. There is a coffee maker and a small fridge. Downstairs are my work room and art studio. I live in the back part of the house and am happy to help you with anything you need. While you are here feel free to relax on my porch or the two chaise lounge chairs positioned in the back yard so you can enjoy the view or watch the sun set. On a clear night the stars are spectacular! I often see Starships and Merkabahs in the sky. If you have an open heart to their existence, I'd be happy to point them out to you...just ask me. They are joyful to connect with. 🌠 Guests can find me somewhere on the premises unless I'm running an errand. Cell phone service can be sketchy up here in the Catskill Mountains. If you need help, I'm sure one of the neighbors would be happy to help you out or feel free to use my land line. I live in the middle of our charming historic town which centers around the village green. There are 2 great bar/restaurants within walking distance, Heartbreak Hotel and Mill Pond Inn. 2 SCOOPS is a darling ice cream shop owned by my daughter and is right across the green from my house. You can also walk to 2 breakfast places. Buck Hill Farm is my favorite, a longer walk but a short drive. They serve their own maple syrup made in their sap house. The little traffic we get can consist of tractors, pickup trucks, bicycles, strollers, lawn mowers and sometimes even horses or a pot bellied pig. One day a deer galloped right by me on Park Avenue (nothing like Park Avenue, NYC) Everyone is very friendly and because we live in a tiny town, we love meeting new people. There are beautiful mountain views everywhere you look. Many visitors have ended up making Jefferson their home. I did 45 years ago. There is something very special here.... Many locals in town choose to walk or ride a bike to nearby restaurants, shops, the village green, the corner store or the cemeteries that date back to the 1700s. Driving your vehicle on back roads will provide many majestic views. Always bring some warm clothes with you. It can get chilly here, especially at night. The wedding venues make use of their beautiful outdoor spaces and you don't want to be cold. Don't forget your umbrellas either. Ladies, you will may want to rethink your high heels if you'll be attending a wedding with outdoor festivities. 😉
