A private entrance to apartment on 2nd fl. (above a garage). Comfortable for up to 4 people; clean & well-maintained with all the needed amenities; makes for an easy stay. The space is dog friendly (prior approval required). Outdoor yard space on property is limited use (weather permitting). Also a quick walk to SLU campus & downtown Canton or trek across town to SUNY Canton. When you walk up the stairs, you enter into the open concept living room/kitchen area, the large windows in the front and back it gives the space lots of light from sunrise to sunset. The space has everything you need for comfort. I really tried to make the most of the space, without overcrowding with furniture and décor. The kitchen table folds out to a full size table if needed. The ottoman in the living room converts to a bed or chair. It's not ideal for large gatherings/parties. Check-in is at 3pm and check-out is at or by 11am. If you need to modify either check in/check out time, please make arrangements in advance, to see if I can accommodate. I live on the property, the apartment is above my attached garage, with it's own entrance. I will be home and available if needed. If I am out of town I will let you know and make arrangements for someone to stop by if needed by guests. The neighborhood can seem busy but is quiet a night. You can hear the geese if the window is open. The house is located on the Grasse River. The view of the Grasse River is from the back of the house (windows) or backyard, which is beautiful (especially if you can catch a sunset). A few blocks (about a 10 minute walk) to Appleton Arena and the general St. Lawrence University campus. Easy to walk into town. The apartment is conveniently located halfway between the 4 colleges in the area, and are an hour and half from Lake Placid. You can make easy day trips to just north of the boarder now that Canada is allowing visitors. In addition, we have the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, Lake Champlain, Syracuse, and the Thousand Islands Region all within a short drive (except Syracuse and Burlington, each a few hours away). There are many restaurants within a 15 mile radius, and traffic is always easy. Canton is a college town with some off-campus rentals in which students from both colleges reside. A few of my neighbors include college students from both campuses. Some nights are not as quiet as others, but overall there have been no issues.
