This cozy garden cabin offers thoughtful hospitality, quiet beauty, and a stay tailored to you whenever possible. Whether celebrating something special or simply need to relax, you will feel genuinely welcomed and completely at home. The space This beautiful little home is intentional and it's all yours. It is not a converted garage or shed or spare room. It stands alone and is located behind a large privacy hedge, behind our main house. It is filled with handmade touches and everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. "Finch Hatton", as the little cabin is called, is next level beautiful and a treat for the curious mind... The cabin has a full kitchen with everything you might need to prepare a meal. There is a soaking tub and walk-in shower with delicious shampoo, conditioner and body soap. High speed internet will allow you to stay in touch. There is a big screen smart TV with Netflix, Prime, Hulu and more for entertainment. Providing hospitality is my happy place...so, any little touches that might make your time and/or experience here special can be done! Additionally, if it is quiet alone time you need...you've found the spot! The cabin is surrounded by flower and organic vegetable gardens. At the right time of the year we have fresh heirloom tomatoes, peppers, figs, peaches, blueberries, avocados and citrus...and many varieties of proteas in bloom. If you don't feel like cooking or going out...Your host is a retired personal chef and would happy to provide meals for you for an additional cost. You might just want to tuck in and be pampered with a delicious meal presented at your door or served to you in one of the gardens! With the right password you could even opt for an intimate dinner for two in a secret onsite dining spot....Or DoorDash and UberEats will deliver... We are just a 15 minute drive from the San Diego Zoo's Safari Park, 30 minutes drive to the beach and 5 minutes from Stone Brewery, Felicita Park, Kit Carson Park and Lake Hodges. Local wineries in Highland Valley Wine Country are a scenic 15 minute drive away... But you may find that this little cabin is a destination all on its own, so rather than go anywhere you might just want to settle in, relax, breathe deep and unwind. Guest access This stand alone little cabin is all yours! With a private entrance there are two patios one off of each side of the house for you to relax with a morning cup of coffee or an afternoon glass of wine... Other things to note Our property is fairly rural and we keep chickens, which means fresh eggs each morning! Two large Sulcata tortoises have full run of the grounds and we also have a very enthusiastic, friendly, sweet little Havanese dog we call "Auggie". Because of the Cedar wood construction of the cabin, we request that no smoking, open flame, incense, vapes or candles be used inside...nothing with a flame. Parking is in the driveway or on the street, just outside the house. All access is single level, with a slight ramp up to the front door and patio. We would like to make your stay as personal as possible so we please feel free to let us know how we might customize the little house to make you comfy. Your host is a retired personal chef and happy to cook for you at an additional cost... If this is something you would be interested in, we can discuss meals, your likes, the costs and any allergies or preferences you might have. We are happy to provide "room service", if you can let us know 24 hours in advance. Meals can be delivered to your door at the time that you specify for you to plate and enjoy in the privacy of your little house. Dinner plates are in a plate warmer on the counter and all serving utensils are there along with placemats and clothe napkins.... or your meal can be served at a table in one of the gardens...
