FIRESIDE CABIN has three spacious and comfortable private bedroom suites all with king beds (the main level bedroom can also easily be converted to two twin XL beds), with three large full baths, a loft with sleeper sofa, game room with billiards, foosball and poker table. Nestled in the gorgeous north Georgia mountains, but super-handy to historic downtown Blue Ridge with all paved easy access. FIRESIDE CABIN has approximately 2,400 square feet of comfortable, rustic but modern mountain living, with a charming and warm all wood interior, soaring vaulted ceilings, breakfast bar, tile baths – one large full bath on each of the three levels, full size laundry on the main level, enormous hot tub for you and friends to relax and recharge, tons of deck space both open and screened, and a large game room with wet bar, billiards, foosball and poker table; let the games begin. There is WIFI and flat panel TVs in all three bedrooms, as well as the living room, and game room. The open loft has comfortable seating and game table (with a few games we thought you and your guests might enjoy). Our fully equipped kitchen is complete with all modern appliances, and a separate wine refrigerator for enthusiasts. We have full table service for eight, all the usual kitchen tools to prepare your meals from the everyday to gourmet. Kitchen electrics include toaster-oven, microwave, blender and full size kitchen appliances. Are you a coffee drinker? We have both a standard coffee maker, and a Keurig coffee maker, so you can brew your favorite selections. Cooking out? Also available for your use is a Weber Gas Grill, ready to put the sizzle in your steaks. FIRESIDE CABIN has an awesome gas fireplace in the living room, but we also have an outdoor wood-burning fireplace on the party deck, AND we have a fire-pit with lots of comfortable Adirondack chairs for relaxing around the fire, making s’mores, and making memories. With three fireside options, the name just sorta stuck, (thank you Lee for the suggestion). We also selected the name FIRESIDE CABIN in honor and tribute to the four generations of fire fighters in our family, and even though they are/were in the business of putting out fires we would like to think that dedicating the name FIRESIDE CABIN to them, they would know a bit more how much we appreciate them, their service, sacrifice and dedication. What to do in Blue Ridge, when vacationing at FIRESIDE CABIN The list is long, you’re just going to have to come back again and again to take it all in, there is just so much to talk about. Here are just a few: Outdoor activities abound with hiking, fishing, hunting, and boating in the mountains and along the Taccoa River and Lake Blue Ridge. The Appalachian Trail, Benton MacKaye trail, are right there, and Georgia’s best mountain biking is right next door in Gilmer County (Ellijay). The Aska Aventure Area boast world class hiking, zip-lining, kayaking and tubing. When in Blue Ridge, you and your family can ride the Scenic Railway up to McCaysville (where you can stand in both Georgia and Tennessee at the same time. Downtown Blue Ridge’s historic and quaint downtown, just five miles from FIRESIDE CABIN, offers all kinds of shops, antiques, ice cream and restaurants (you have to try the wings at Chester Brunnenmeyer’s Bar & Grill). Getting to FIRESIDE CABIN Driving to FIRESIDE CABIN is very easy and convenient. All of the roads are wide and paved. (If you’ve driven into the north Georgia mountains off the beaten paths, you may have already discovered that there are MANY unpaved, deeply rutted, tight, twisty and steep single lane roads that will test your driving skills and vehicle capability, often enough 2WD vehicles need not apply.) Drive your sports car or whatever, and you will discover that FIRESIDE CABIN access is really easy, boasting plenty of parking, and it’s also a pleasure to come and go with a circle drive, meaning you do not need to back up if you’re towing a trailer with your favorite toys – bring your motorcycles, kayaks, etc. On a motorcycle trip? We ride too. You do not have to have a dual-sport or dirt bike to get to FIRESIDE CABIN.
