Description
Large canvas tent, with interior standing room, on a wooden platform. It includes beds (futons/folding cushions or beds ), a bottom sheet and pillow/pillow case, but no electricity. There is no electricity or plug-ins in the campground area. Solar lamps are near the outhouses. Bring your flashlights and unplug from devices to enjoy the stars!! We limit the number of individual campers, so this space will not be inundated with people. The space River's Bend Retreat is close to redwood forests, Anderson Valley wine country, the Mendocino Coast and it's on the Navarro River with multiple access trails. You'll love our camping meadow with room to bring your own tent because of the natural setting, beautiful light of the meadow and shadowy forest, peacefulness, friendly locals. This is a great destination for individuals on personal retreat, couples, creatives who want time to write or draw, and families in a natural environment. The campground meadow includes potable water, sinks, well-maintained outhouses, and hot water showers. There are no designated campsites but plenty of options under trees or open meadow. To support a natural setting, it is NOT possible to drive to your campsite. Camping locations are an easy 2-5 minute walk from the parking space in the campground area. If that space is filled (there are only 3 spaces), then you can unload your vehicle and then drive it back the 2 minute drive to the main River's Bend Parking lot. Each site is not equipped with a fire pit or grill as you might find in formal parks, however, you can bring your own small propane or other gas camp stove and place it on one of our campground picnic tables near your spot. Depending on weather and other conditions, there is one campfire pit in the meadow that may be used with pre-arrangement with Host before July 1 and after October. Campers must bring lockable food storage or keep food in their cars. Guest access All guests should bring: Bedding is not provided in Tent Cabins just a bottom sheet and pillow case. Please bring your own bath towels and for the river. A flashlight Comfortable sturdy shoes (water shoes if you intend to explore the Navarro River) Some kind of sweater or light jacket for cool, coastal evenings (even in warm season) and a raincoat for spring and fall stays. A hat for rain and/or sun. Toiletries, including soap and shampoo Insect repellent. Other things to note Our priority is the health and safety of our community, guests and team members. COVID-19 has changed every facet of our world and the way we do business. River's Bend Retreat is Self-Certified as a Mendocino and California Lodging Association Safe business, “Committed to meeting or exceeding requirements of the Safe Business Operations Protocols put into place by the California Lodging association and the County of Mendocino." We’re taking important steps to demonstrate you can Count on Us! Each of our employees has received extensive training in cleaning procedures. Each of our cabins has been thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and sanitized prior to guest arrival. There is 24 hours between guest cabin stays and we have limited total occupancy on-site. We will do our part to welcome you safely to our property. We ask you to do your part by committing to some small but important changes.
