WTR Stables Children's Loft

A unique opportunity to stay on a working Virginia Certified Thoroughbred horse farm. The newly renovated barn loft hosts unbelievable views of the mountains and our horses. Peace and serenity are limitless! The farm is less than 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. 15 minutes to downtown Roanoke. 30 minutes to Smith Mt Lake. 45 minutes to Blacksburg or Lynchburg. The space The loft space was created so our adult children would have ample space and privacy when they visited us. It has a small refrigerator as well as a wine cooler. A microwave, toaster and a hot plate with two burners. Pots and dishes. A beautiful farm sink and of course a coffee maker that brews a carafe or a single cup. A desk for writing. A large sitting area and a 70 inch TV with over 200 pre-loaded movies. A TV internet connection to stream your favorite streaming service.. The WIFI access through loft is provided by Starlink . We hope you experience the same peace and serenity we do here on our farm. Truly a beautiful part of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Not a day goes by that we don't count our blessings! Guest access Please enjoy the entire loft space. The area that has the big picture window with counter and stools is in my studio. I am a sculpture who works in water based clay. Look all you like but please "don't touch" thank you! We also have horse stalls available if guest are traveling with their horses for a reasonable fee. There is a hiking trail behind the barn that goes to the top of the mountain. My son-in-law runs it! I suggest keeping it to a hike! We hope you enjoy your time here! Are you planning on inviting local friends or family to visit you at the loft while you are staying here? Please limit this to a minimum. We share the driveway with neighbors and want no more traffic than necessary. The fewer people in the loft during COVID the better. If you do invite guest please notify us, and ask us where they should park. Please ask any visitors to remove their shoes before entering the loft. Thank you for your consideration! Other things to note FYI.......we do not except single night stays on (Fri, Sat.) NO exceptions. Also due to safety concerns for all parties we do NOT allow children between the ages of 2-12 in the loft. This is a working farm, and you have a bird's eye view from the loft. You will undoubtedly see the day-to-day chores and hear tractors and horse noises. The loft does have Wi-Fi. The 70-inch TV host over 200 pre-loaded movies. Peace and serenity are limitless! We do give free prescheduled farm tours to meet the horses and tell their stories for those that are interested. There are all new beds and bedding for 2024. A newborn baby Thoroughbred horse will be on the farm by mid-April of 2024. Meet and greets with the new baby and mom are available upon request.
