The Owl's Nest is a rustic, 700 sq. ft, two-bdrm A-frame cabin in the heart of Big Bear. Immerse yourself in our mountain wilderness themed chalet. Take in all that Big Bear has to offer - just minutes from two different ski slopes. With the lake, village, zoo, and golf course just a short drive away, with plenty of activities nearby. Unwind in the hot tub, grill on the spacious deck. At night, fall asleep by the warmth of our wood-burning fireplace. PLEASE NOTE: There is no A/C at the cabin The space The Owl's Nest gives guests the rugged mountain experience with the convenience of modern amenities. This cabin's abundance of windows allows for spectacular views from every room. Upon entering the A-frame, visitors will see an amazing view of the forest through the wall length windows encompassing the back of the A-frame. The living room features ample seating for your party whether it be socializing or enjoying a meal made in our fully-stocked kitchen. Our wood-burning fireplace makes for an intimate gathering space and our full sized flat-screen smart-TV offers guests the option of Netflix or streaming apps. The master bedroom features a queen size bed with brand new luxury mattress as well as a full sized armoire. The cabin's cozy loft can be accessed via a ladder in the main room and features a queen sized bed with brand new luxury mattress. Guests also have the option of a pull-out sofa bed in the cabin's main room with a custom memory foam mattress. The private back deck has a six person hot tub for relaxing after a long day on the mountain. Please note that, although we have ample fans in the cabin, the cabin itself does not have an A/C unit. Guest access Guests will have access to the entirety of the house, deck, and yard with exception of the locked owner's closet and shed. Other things to note Parking for only two cars Chain requirements may also be in effect if it snows. All guests booking a stay in winter should anticipate the possibility of tire chains being necessary to travel to Big Bear, and should check the weather forecast and road conditions before heading up.
