In the western region of the Cairngorms National Park, Loch Insh Chalets provide well-appointed accommodations at the Loch Insh Outdoor Center. The center offers a wide range of sports, a restaurant and free Wi-Fi in most accommodations types. Ski and snowboarding lessons can be arranged throughout the winter. Chalets of various sizes are available, and many have lake or mountain views. Each has a flat-screen TV with DVD player, and full kitchen facilities including a dishwasher, oven, microwave, kettle and fridge. Bedrooms are complemented by a bathroom with bath or shower. The Boathouse Restaurant has stunning views of the Spey Valley, and breakfast is served here each morning. The Quarter Deck bar looks out over the loch and dry ski-slope and offers coffee and homemade scones as well as beers, wines and spirits. Windsurfing, sailing and kayaking are among the water-sports offered on site. You can also enjoy walking, mountain-biking, archery, fishing, skiing and snowboarding. The Loch Insh Chalets lie around 10 miles from Aviemore, and are around 1 hour’s drive from Pitlochry. The city of Inverness is 40 miles north of the site. Glenlivet - This chalet is detached and overlooks the loch. There is one king-size bedroom and one twin bedroom. This chalet features a hot tub and a log burner. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a TV with Sky channels and a DVD player. A gas barbecue is available on request. This chalet is pet friendly.
