A calm lake chalet in wood, between two regional parks, minutes walk from nature trails and off the beaten path. East windows let the happy morning light on natural materials and heated floors. In the evening, a cozy cinema with ambient sound by a fireplace, a second media room with a turntable ideal for music. Outdoors, a hot tub, a wood-burning sauna, a fireplace by the lake and a slide. Cross-country ski, snowshoe trails are minutes’ walk, and snowmobile routes start right at the driveway. The space 1,350 sq. ft. over three levels on 30,000 sq. ft. of land, the chalet accommodates 4 guests in two Queen bedrooms ( mezzanine mattress is firmer, main floor is standard ), with space for up to 6 in the convertible cinema room. This layout offers enough space for a family to retreat or join the group. The cottage is built for any forecast: sunny days are best for exploration, while rainy or freezing days are for cooking, the saune / spa, and the cinema. The center of the home is a chef’s kitchen, equipped with a premium coffee machine, blender, spices, fondue sets, and a dispenser for excellent deep-well water. The space has two cinema zones with very good sound, a global vinyl collection, ( arcade ) games, and a library of art and nature magazines. Extras include explorer hats and flashlights for the trails, a yoga mat, and hand fans for the sauna or warm afternoons. The chalet also includes games, a piano, and accessories to explore nature, as well as a gas fireplace for the cold winter days and a dedicated workspace/DIY area. It is also a smart home that adapts the lights ambience, heating, sound for a better comfort and safety. Outside, relax in the 6-person hot tub, wood-burning sauna, or by the fire pit—a calm place with discreet neighbours, far from the crowds, where deer visit almost daily. This is a great basecamp for lake adventures, wild beach exploration, fishing, hiking, and snowmobile or cross-country ski expeditions. Guest access You will have exclusive access to the chalet, the 30,000 sq. ft. land, the private dock, and the lakefront. Free parking is available for up to three cars on the property. Please note: Restricted Access: There is one locked owner's storage closet inside that is not accessible to guests. Emergency Water: The water stored on top of the fridge is drinkable and strictly reserved for use during power outages. We provide all the following gear: All-Season Amenities • Wood-burning sauna • Hot tub / spa • Fishing gear • Deck, 2 Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, (direct view of the lake) • Fireplace and bench right by the lake Winter Gear • 2 sets of cross-country skis (male & female) • 2 pairs of ice skates (male & female) • 3 pairs of snowshoes • Sleds for the private 200 ft. sledding hill Summer Gear • Private 8×16 ft. dock with 2 lounge chairs • 3 m electric boat • a canoe • 2 kayaks & 2 paddleboards • 2 fishing gear sets • 2 mountain bikes Please always use life vests on the water and supervise children during outdoor activities. Guests must inspect all gear before using and report any damages. For Families with Infants Available upon request at the booking: a travel crib and a playpen. Other things to note For the best exploration and experience and rates recommended 3 days or more. Wood for the outdoor fire pit or sauna is available on-site—it may need chopping or could be wet or under snow—or can be purchased in the village. For a gentler steam (“löyly”) in winter, you can sprinkle clean snow on the sauna rocks. Temperature and more importantly humidity are managed by a heat pump for a comfortable stay — the system pauses if doors and windows are left open. Minimum summer set point is around 22°C to avoid condensation; message before booking if you need something different. The spa water is set at 100-102°F, bromine. Cellular signal may be weak in the area. We recommend enabling WiFi Calling on your phone to make reliable calls and send texts via the chalet’s internet. We have a septic system (toilet paper only).
