In the summer, guests can enjoy direct access to single-track mountain biking and hiking trails from the back of the property. During winter, the area is groomed for ski-in/ski-out access to Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, with the “North” trail leading to Canyon Lodge lifts and the “South” trail to the Eagle Express Lift. Please note that intermediate skiing ability is required to use these trails. As the highest elevation condo property in Mammoth at 8,650 feet above sea level, accessing Timber Ridge during snowstorms requires a 4x4 vehicle or chains. For adventure enthusiasts, there are single-track mountain biking and hiking trails, though a pass is required for biking between 9-5 p.m. In the winter, you can enjoy groomed ski-in/ski-out trails to Canyon or Eagle Lodge. Plus, the peaceful sunset walks in the woods make it a special place to unwind year-round. Other things to note Summer Notes: Mountain biking from Timber Ridge requires a pass from 9-5 p.m. Sunset walks in the woods are a favorite past time of mine. Winter Notes: Ski-In / Ski-Out Information: Timber Ridge is located above both the Canyon Lodge and Eagle Lodge Lifts. It is the only property in Mammoth that is ski in / ski out to both the Canyon Lodge and the Eagle Lodge lifts. There are 2 groomed SKI OUT trails from the property down to the lifts. You actually ski down from the property to either Eagle or Canyon Lodge. You SKI back in from 2 different trails located off of the Chickadee run to the same spot you skied out from. IMPORTANT! The trails are at the end of the buildings, so you have to walk from your unit to the closest trail out. From this unit, it is just a 4-5 minute walk from the condo to the groomed ski trail down to the Eagle lift. The trail to Canyon Lodge is closest to units 35 to 54. All other units are closer to the trail down to Eagle Lodge. Eagle Lift: Requires low-level intermediate skiing ability. Canyon Lift: Requires advanced intermediate skiing ability.
