Western-themed Guestroom in Private Residence
Details
Our Buffalo Room is decorated in a western motif with an antler table lamp, hand-stitched quilt, buffalo art prints, and antique mahogany furniture. The queen pillow top bed provides you with a comfortable night of sleep. There is a private bathroom steps from your bedroom door as well as a small living area with a TV/DVD player for your use. If others in your same party are renting our second guest room, the Scandinavian Room, all will be sharing the bathroom. We have an extensive DVD library. There is a large private full bathroom steps from each room and a cozy living space which gives our guests their desired privacy. A computer work table is provided, and in addition to the hundreds of DVDs at your disposal, there is a large case of family games with which to wile away the evenings. A small refrigerator sits on the table in the shared living space which holds complimentary bottles of cold water. We often have a fire crackling in our wood-burning fireplace in the main level living room which would be a great place in which to curl up and read that long-awaited best seller. We have lived in Grand Forks since 1989 and are a good resource to assist with your travel plans. A delicious continental breakfast will be prepared including homemade scones or muffins, Greek yogurt, fresh berries, granola, and orange juice. And, of course, plenty of freshly ground and brewed coffee. Our immediate neighborhood is residential and was initially built in 1978. There are many mature trees lining our winding street, and most of the nearby homes are large and uniquely Midwestern in design. We are a short walk from the city-wide miles long bike path where you will share your walk with rabbits, squirrels, and birds. We are located centrally between the University of North Dakota and the 32nd Avenue South retail corridor and just a short walk from the Columbia Mall Shopping Center. The two main hockey venues in town, Ralph Engelstad Arena and the ICON Sports Center are between 1-2 miles away. Ours is a non-smoking home and we expect our guests to comply with this rule. Quiet hours will be maintained from 10 pm - 8 am.
