Mountain and tree view cabin on 12 private acres

A great escape awaits you on 12 acres of private land. If you prefer a relaxing vacation or if you want to get involved in local activities (hiking, biking, swimming, skiing, snowshoeing, sledding), this is your place. Enjoy 360 degree views of the Catskill Mountains from almost anywhere on the property. Sip your morning coffee while watching the sunrise on the large deck. Play in the large private yard. Clear evenings are the best for sunsets, a fire pit and star gazing. The space Our home offers a private getaway on 12 acres of private land. Some of the features include a spacious deck with BBQ grill, an outdoor fire pit, an indoor fireplace. We have 2 bedrooms, Air conditioning units in the bedrooms, 1 full bath, 1 half bath, fully stocked kitchen, Drip Coffee Maker, TV in the living room, Wifi and Washer/Dryer. Grocery store, gas station, liquor and general stores are all within a five minute drive. Close to Windham, Hunter, Plattekill and Belleayre Mountains. Note for Fall/Winter 2025: indoor fireplace is undergoing repair and may not be used. This is not the main heating system and is really only used for ambiance. Guest access Guests may enjoy the house and the entire property. If there is fruit on the trees during your stay, please fee free to pick what you like. There is a garage that is not shared with guests. Other things to note Driving: All Wheel Drive is strongly recommended between November and March. We have a plowing/sanding service but do recommend the AWD as the house sits on a hill with a steady incline. Internet: Due to our location and available service providers in the area, the internet, though available, is slower than normal. Perfect place to semi-disconnect. You can access web pages, it just takes a little more time than what you are likely used to. Streaming can be difficult if there is cloud coverage. Personally, we have found this to be a perk! Less time on the internet means more time to enjoy the great outdoors or indoors. We do offer a guitar, piano, books, puzzles, coloring books, games, movies and a huge outdoor space for internet distractions. Phone: We have not had any issues with cell/mobile service. (Verizon and T Mobile have been used at the house). Note: we do not have a land line phone and have used only our mobile phones when at the house.
