Stay cozy in our modern, clean private light-filled daylight basement suite. 1 bedroom, 1 bath and full kitchen stocked with the essentials. It is the perfect space for relaxing after a day of exploring! Located in the Phinney/Woodland neighborhood of Seattle. Short walks take you to Woodland Park Zoo, Greenlake, and the many outstanding restaurants and shops along Phinney Ridge. Metro Bus #5 or Rapid E line give you easy access to downtown. Both are within walking distance from the apartment. The space Our house sits above the street, in a quiet residential neighborhood that is conveniently located 10-15 driving/bus minutes from downtown and within a few walking blocks from the many cafes and restaurants along Phinney Ave. From the street there is a set of stairs leading up to our side yard and as you walk toward the backyard there is another set of stairs leading down to the daylight suite. With windows in all rooms, the space feels bright, yet cozy and private. All windows have blinds. In addition the bedroom has a block-out curtain that covers the main window. The bedroom has a new (2024) Silk & Snow memory foam queen bed that invites lounging after a busy day of exploring, or a cozy nest for resting after a long day of travel. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea and creamers, plus a few spices and oils, includes a refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, pots, pans and utensils, everything you need if you want to prep your own meals. Our WiFi is strong, which allows remote working to be a breeze. The apartment is heated with natural gas, running though the main house, plus a small wall mounted space heater inside the apt. We provide extra blankets and towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The bathroom has a tub/shower and the prettiest river rock floor hands down. Joe and I personally clean after each stay. All linens, towels and blankets are thoroughly washed between guests. In the main room, there is an Amazon Fire Smart TV (No Cable) but plenty of free channels along with signing in to your favorite streaming apps (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc.) for down-time entertainment! Guest access Guests access is up a set of outdoor stairs, then back down another set of outside stairs to the front door of our guest suite. There is a coded lock which allows easy and independent check-ins. Street parking is free if traveling by car and there are usually plenty of open spots just outside our house. Our side yard is well-lit if arriving late, with a motion light (no camera) that activates at the top of the stairs leading to the entry door. We are happy to share our backyard, (in the summer you'll most likely catch us gardening) and there are chairs and a picnic table for guest use. In the summer you can hear the ZooTunes concerts from our yard! Other things to note Our home is nestled along the east side of Phinney Ridge in a quiet neighborhood with free street parking. Highway 99 Southbound is accessed at the bottom of our street and is the quickest route to take you in to downtown Seattle, Pioneer Square, the Waterfront and the Stadium District. Please, no parties or large gatherings We ask you do not smoke in the apartment of anywhere on the property. Our aim is to maintain a calm and welcoming atmosphere for all!
