Before booking, please note this property is on a bridge-less island, not accessible by your vehicle. You will need to set up water transportation as well as a golf cart rental on island for your stay. The rental is nestled in the historic district of Daufuskie, an underdeveloped, quirky island. The guesthouse shares a deck with the main house. Enjoy a separate entrance, shower, kitchenette and bedroom. Minutes from the beach, island artisans and restaurants, this rental is a perfect getaway. . The space Very important, this rental does not include a golf cart. As the ferry is solely for people, you will need to set up a cart rental to explore the island and get to the rental. Numerous boat services run to the island, however I would recommend May River Excursions, Daufuskie Island Ferry, Hilton Head Boat Charters, or Bull River Marina. All boat services, car parking, and luggage transportation will accrue extra costs. This one bedroom, one bath guesthouse shares a large porch with the main house. Enjoy a separate entrance, as well as a private screened-in porch. The living area includes a kitchenette with a toaster oven, microwave, small refrigerator and griddle. Propane griddle outside, as well as a small charcoal grill. Charcoal not provided. Basic cooking utensils provided. There is a TV with basic cable. WiFi is provided. The bedroom has a queen bed and dressers. Window A/C units are in both the bedroom and living space. Space heaters are provided in the winter months. Our family spends ample time outside, taking advantage of our beautiful surroundings. Feel free to enjoy the porch as much as we do, but please understand we spend a lot of time outside. The rental is in the Historic District. It is in a heavily wooded area, privately tucked back on our dirt road. It is located on the more remote south end of the island. However you are just a 10 - 15 minute golf cart ride away from many of our island artisans, restaurants and the beach. Situated in the historic district, enjoy exploring Daufuskie's rich history and numerous restored homes and buildings. Scout, our family dog roams the property and is very friendly but shy. Guest access Guests will be able to access the side deck and yard around the deck. There is not access to the back of the house or our deck space. Other things to note Please be aware that the rental is located on Daufuskie Island, only assessable by boat. Parking, luggage and transportation to Daufuskie Island will accrue extra fees for the renter(s). Squiring a golf cart to explore the island will also accrue extra fees. PLEASE make sure to set up water transportation as soon as you book the Little Red Guesthouse, as it fills quickly. Host is not responsible for cancelled nights due to booked out water transportation to Daufuskie Island.
