This home is not fancy, but has all the basics and high quality where it counts: high speed WIFI, unlimited on demand hot water and brand new high end ductless split inverters for individually controlled AC and heat. The space 19th Century home in historic neighborhood on the edge of downtown Houston. We are renovating the house in stages, so it’s a mix of brand new high-end fabulousness, original historic features (some restored, some not), and plain old stuff. We have redone the roof, siding, electrical and plumbing, it has brand new high-end split inverter HVAC with individual room controls; endless on demand hot water tankless water heater; high speed Internet, direct TV, a king size top of the line temperpedic bed, claw-foot bathtub, and freshly refinished antique floors in the bedrooms. The other rooms have original 19th century wood flooring that is clean and in good repair, but has not been resurfaced and bears the scars of its history; the bathrooms and kitchen are functional, but basic with new cabinets and sinks but otherwise not redone recently. The doors, windows, and trim are mostly original woodwork - including transom windows above the interior doors - that is clean and in good repair but not recently restored. The furniture is a mix of basic IKEA with nicer mid-century pieces. The kitchen is equipped with new but plain and inexpensive dishes, cookware, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, microwave and all the usual gadgets. The fridge, stove and oven are new, mid-range models in good repair. There is no dishwashing machine. Guest access You have the entire residence, which is half a duplex.
