Rustic retreat for those who need a lot of space. The perfect place for a nature retreat, without electricity and especially without Wi-Fi... Very well equipped to cook hot autumn and winter meals. Located on a large wooded land of 400,000 m2, the refuge is 900 meters from the road, on the edge of a large pond, two rivers and 4.5 km of marked trail. The space Rustic, surrounded by nature and mountains, without running water, without electricity, outdoor compost toilet, mosquito net shelter with picnic table and a 3-season outdoor camping shower (room temperature), in operation from May to September. Outdoor fireplace for starry evenings. Propane stove and cooking basics. Note that drinking water is available at the drinking water point at the back of the barn at the entrance to the grounds (spring-summer-fall). In winter we provide 3x5 gallons of drinking water for your stay at the shelter. Bring the essentials for a refuge without electricity. Candle, headlamp or flashlight and don't forget your toilet paper... The shelter is well equipped for cooking, pots, stoves, fondue set, dishes and utensils. There are 4 pillows on site with fitted sheets (2 extra sleeping bags if needed during the winter period) however you must bring your sleeping bags. Propane for the stove and BBQ is included. Stove wood during the winter October 1 to May 1 is included. During the summer only indoor stove wood is provided. Wood for outdoor campfires is not provided but there is a saw on site and you can collect all the dead wood on the ground. Guest access Guests have unique access to the shelter, but the land is shared with the rental of the house located at the entrance to the property (1 km). The shelter will be cleared upon arrival. Other things to note In winter, the refuge is only accessible by snowshoe or cross-country ski. Parking is located at the entrance to the property. The distance between the parking lot and the refuge is 900 meters on the flat. Three sleds are available at the entrance to transport your luggage to the refuge.
