Homestead House, a newly renovated upstairs apartment in an historic home, is a farmhouse style retreat nestled in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance or a short uber ride to an array restaurants, local breweries, museums and galleries in both Covington and Cincinnati, Ohio. Over-the-Rhine (OTR), located right across the Ohio River, is one of the largest, most intact urban historic districts in the United States , and offers one of many walk-able shopping experiences for you to enjoy. We have worked hard to provide you with everything you'll need during your stay from amenities like shampoo and conditioner to a drying rack for delicates that need to be air-dryed. We have also prepared a comprehensive book listing museums, restaurants, breweries, shopping opps and anything else we can think of to insure your visit to the Covington/Cincinnati area is a good one! Guests will have access to everything in the unit except for one small closet We are available 24 hours a day should you need us and can be reached by phone. We will share our number upon confirmation of your reservation! We are a short walk from Mainstrasse Village, a 19th Century German neighborhood minutes from downtown Cincinnati. Mainstrasse is listed on the National Historic Register and features unique shops & galleries, a variety of excellent restaurants, beer and bourbon pubs and entertainment options for live music and more. Throughout the year, the village also hosts numerous popular festivals, like Goetta Fest, as well as gallery hops, holiday celebrations, pub crawls, antiques markets and more. The village is home to the Carroll Chimes Bell Tower, the Goose Girl Fountain and numerous historical markers. Numerous, eclectic dining options are available in and near the village. Although there are many places to visit within an easy walk, Cincinnati is just a short uber drive away!
