If only the walls could talk! Built in 1890 by the largest wood product manufacturer, eventually a Free Mason lodge, and home of Cyndi Lauper for 1 semester of college! This amazing home with 7 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, movie room, massive kitchen, is nestled in the Green Mountains with the charm of a Victorian era mansion. Great for visiting NVU, family reunions, Rail Trail, hiking, skiing at Smuggs, Stowe(30min), Jay Peak, touring breweries, visiting Burlington, and dual family trips! The space **Note: we were renting each room out to traveling nurses. That is no longer the case! We renovated the whole house and are now renting the entire property! Some reviews are from our traveling nurse friends prior to the renovations…rest assured, 6 bedrooms + a cool toddler room are for the whole house! :-) ** Nestled in the charming town of Johnson, Vermont, this stunning Victorian home, built in 1890, offers timeless elegance with modern conveniences. Boasting 7 spacious bedrooms, a variety of inviting common rooms, and a large, well-equipped kitchen, this residence is perfect for both relaxation and entertaining. The home’s classic architecture, with intricate woodwork and large windows, fills the space with natural light, showcasing its historic beauty. The house is ideally located close to the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail, perfect for walking, biking, and cross-country skiing. It's also a short walk to the village, where you can enjoy local shops and dining. Surrounded by multiple hiking trails and scenic swimming holes, outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to explore. Additionally, within a 30-minute drive are some of Vermont’s top attractions, including Smugglers' Notch for skiing and hiking, the artsy town of Stowe, and the serene Green River Reservoir for kayaking and swimming. This Victorian gem is a perfect base for experiencing the best of Northern Vermont’s nature and charm. Guest access Parking is on-site but you will need a car as there are not public transportation options. EV charging available at the house. Other things to note There are no bedrooms on the first floor. All bedrooms are on the second floor which is great for those looking to sleep in late :) The house is magical. It’s the best way to describe it. Cozy and magnificent at the same time.
