The cabin's rustic charm reminds us of simpler times past and enable you to relax in an unhurried countryside retreat. During daylight hours cabin is easily accessed from the main road, 15 min to Boone and 10 min to Todd and closer even to the New River. Unplug at this hand hewn rustic log cabin, a remote setting with plenty of privacy but just minutes to Boone. The cabin is rustic yet cozy. Your closest neighbors are the cows. *Dogs are accepted on a case-by-case basis. Please message us for approval before booking. A $100 pet fee will be added to your reservation cost.* Guests have access to whole cabin. Back deck has just been opened for guest use. It’s got a big step down, so be careful walking from 2nd floor landing to back deck. My co-host, Miel, is available when needed. Cattle grazing on hills, pine tree forests painting the mountain sides green; Streams rushing through the downward slope towards the New River; Green Valley neighborhood is rural mountain countryside with homes spotted throughout the landscape. Enjoy the beautiful scenery but drive around the curves slowly! This quaint cabin is located in the countryside just outside of Boone. The driveway is easy access. 4 wheel drive necessary during snowy or icy conditions. Access to the cabin from the main road is quite easy. Plan to arrive during daylight hours. Just be aware of a few inclines and bumps in the road. There is a moderate incline as the driveway curves around to the cabin which leads to a switchback enabling vehicles up to the base of the cabin. The parking area is very flat. It requires a two point turn. Service vehicles get up there easily, and normally guests have had no troubles with it. But please be aware that mountain driveways can look a bit intimidating for folks used to driving on flat land. And as far as mountain driveways go, this one is considered easy access. 4 wheel drive vehicle/ all wheel drive vehicle necessary during icy/ snowy conditions.
