Open concept Bungalow. 2bdms have pool & oceanviews-kitchen+dining room are steps away from pool patio. Relaxing here is just so easy with morning sun arriving bright+early!The last of the evening sun is on the beach(offering over 100 feet of waterfront) so be sure to head down there! Lots of local hikes/trails. The space This property, swimming pool and land, was a part of Captain Morgans Lodge and Resort in the 1930's. It’s not ‘old’, it’s ‘vintage’! Swimming pool is seasonal. There is no longer a diving board, for liability reasons. Tentative pool closure is September 30 and tentative pool opening is June 1. Pool closure and opening dates are flexible, based on weather and bookings. 120 ft long driveway can accommodate 5 vehicles/trailer/boat/RV etc. Genoa Bay Marina is a minute walk around the corner and has a boat launch, restaurant offering fresh local seafood cuisines, and a separate Breakfast Cabana on the dock (hi season), gallery, mini store etc. There are also lots of activities to partake in such as sailing excursions and lessons, rentals etc. When you come through the garden entrance into the house, a feeling comes over you as you take it all in. You can't help but fall in love with the ocean just beyond the 280,000 litre pool, that you realize is now all yours. Isolated, private and peaceful. Time to unwind! You will enter the spacious, all one level living space, with tall vaulted cedar ceilings. There is a walk-through bedroom (the one with two beds), with a uniquely situated walk-through second bathroom ensuite. The ensuite can be shared by 3 bedrooms with 3 locking doors. Walk-through situation can be eliminated by accessing bedroom through pool side patio door. Similarly, the ensuite can be isolated to one of three bedrooms. Each bed comes with a down duvet, (synthetic blanket available for those allergic to down). Enjoy your morning coffee in the garden swing. Soak in the private hot tub that has a panoramic ocean view. Sit in the gazebo and gaze at the ocean. Explore the 105 feet of waterfront, with a gently sloping beach full of sea life. Look for sea glass or sea shells on the beach. See the star fish at low tide. Bring a kayak or paddle board and explore the surrounding pristine beaches and forests. Bring bicycles and go for a ride, or book a sailing lesson during your stay. Walk to the trail head and hike for hours, with multiple choices of direction and destination. Or just stay right here, in paradise. Guest access Guests have access to the entire 1/2 acre property, except the garage. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE that the high diving board has been removed. There is no longer a diving board, for liability reasons. There is an additional $40 pet fee if bringing a pet. A Wifi printer is available for you to use. Maximum total of 8 guests, unless you get special permission from the Host. Please send Host a 'pre-booking' message if your party has more than 8 guests.
