Check us out on insta @CozyBohoLakeHouse CITQ Establishment 303126 The space This light, bright, tastefully decorated, well equipped cottage has one bedroom with a queen size bed and a den with a queen size murphy bed. It also has a murphy desk in the den that can be utilized as a workspace when the bed is not in use. We accommodate no more than 4 guests at a time simply because the cottage is modest in size and is on a septic holding tank system. We are pet friendly but we also love cleanliness and strive to offer the same to our guests so, please, no animals on the furniture (unless they are on a blanket) and dry them off after their swim before allowing them to enter the cottage. The property is completely fenced off but be aware that a small or determined dog may be able to squeeze under the fence (or around if they venture in the lake). The lake is very clean and amazing for swimming, kayaking and SUPing during the warmer months. We recommend bringing water shoes as the lake has a rocky bottom. What we have/provide: · Kitchen: all of the basic kitchen utensils and cookware and some spices , condiments and oils, wash towels and dish liquid. There is also a BBQ available for use in the spring-fall months. Please clean after usage and cover once cooled. · Bathroom: toilet paper (please do not flush), hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, bath towels, facecloths and hand towels · Bedroom and den: pillows, blankets and sheets. · Other: a reasonable amount of firewood for indoors in the winter and outdoors in the summer Guest access Cottage (not the shed) Please park along the fence, not across the road as that property does not belong to us Other things to note All Seasons considerations: 1. Septic holding tank There is a possibility that we will have a septic holding tank empty scheduled during your stay. We do try to avoid this as much as possible but it is difficult to predict the water consumption of guests and when the empty will be required. This process takes only 10 minutes and there would be no need to interact with the service provider. 2. Power Interruptions: As we’re located in a rural area with high winds (a lake on a mountain), the weather can sometimes result in brief power interruptions. Emergency candles can be found in the cottage in a drawer by the fridge. These outages don't typically last very long (avg 15 mins). Should the outage last more than the average, don’t hesitate to contact us - we will gladly find out more regarding the reason for the interruption and estimated outage time. But don’t worry - the wood stove will keep you toasty during the winter and the BBQ can keep you fed! :) 3. Cottage Quirk: Again, as a result of the location and the wind you may hear a whistle (growl) come from the hood vent over the stove. This does not happen often only when it’s a very strong Southward wind. Winter considerations: 1. Although the roads are well maintained by the municipality please be mindful that these are back roads and winter driving out here requires caution. We do not recommend booking in the winter if you do not have winter tires (AWD an asset). We are not responsible should you find yourself stuck, but of course, should this happen we will assist as much as possible. Spring considerations: 1. Sump pump drainage: You may witness watering draining from a spout behind the cottage under the kitchen window. Don’t be alarmed, this is just the Sump Pump doing its job as the snow melts and the earth thaws. General FYI: Motor boats are permitted on the lake and there are 2 boat launches within eyesight of our dock. Registration Details Quebec - Registration number 303126, expires: 2026-11-30
