This refurbished townhome is in a quiet and safe cul de sac in the heart of Berks County. A walker’s paradise with plenty of restaurants, cafes, brew pubs, farmers market, galleries, and shops on nearby Penn Ave. Walk to Reading Hospital, this home is perfect for medical students, visiting staff, or a place to stay if a relative or friend is in the hospital. The space I’ve fully refurbished this prewar townhome. Antique mahogany furniture and wooden floors give it a warm glow. A fully stocked eat-in kitchen is nice for a quick breakfast for two. Serve larger meals in the Dining Room. My favorite part of this house is the neighborhood. Holland Square is an adorable pre-war development like a cute Dutch village. Nearby Penn Ave in West Reading is the most vibrant and urbane part of Berks County. A few blocks West are the old-money mansions of central Wyomissing. This three bedroom house can sleep 5, 6 if you use the pull out mattress. There is a queen bed in the master bedroom, a full bed in the second bedroom and a twin bed in the third. There is also a pull-out twin mattress I stay on when my parents come to visit. Downstairs there is a living room with AppleTV and plenty of streaming services and an antique writing desk, dining room, and newly remodeled kitchen with granite countertops. Laundry and powder room out back. I’ve set this home to host my family for long stays, it can comfortably host yours. The previous owner was elderly so there are still some mobility enhancements: extra bannisters on the stairs, bars and seats in the shower etc. Guest access You will be able to access the whole space and you will have the house to yourself. We only stay in the house when Airbnb guests are not using it. Other things to note Because we occasionally use the house (only when Airbnb guests are not booked) we have some clothes in one drawer of a dresser and a few shirts in a closet. However there is an empty dresser in each bedroom for guests’ use. Parking is street parking only. I have never had trouble finding a space on Holland Square. Please, no smoking, no pets, and no parties.
