WONDERFUL house & beautiful, peaceful surroundings- ideally located between Banner Elk, Boone, & Blowing Rock. Idyllic in every season! 2 large, wraparound decks for sitting out in evenings. Games & puzzles closet Firepit The space The house is 10 minutes from Sugar Mtn and 15-20 minutes from Beech Mtn. We have television with Chrome cast - easy to work and instructions are there. We have excellent high-speed Wifi Internet with sign-on instructions. Cell service is also excellent. The large sectional sofa in the living room easily accommodates an adult or 2 children - also, a small sofa bed in the adjoining room. New, very comfy bedding ! There is a grill (gas) on the main deck and plenty of seating with a very nice picnic table, Adirondack chairs, and a small conversation table with 2 chairs. We have a new gas fire pit and it is WONDERFUL to sit around in the evening with a glass of wine or cup of coffee and look at the lights in the valley and the mountains in the distance!! SO relaxing! The house is much larger then it looks from the front - almost 2000 sq feet - - it slopes down in the back so has a bottom level with a huge bedroom and bath with plenty of windows and it’s own deck for a lovely view! Perfect for parents who want to have young children in the same room with them or just extra room to sit, read, etc. And of course the main floor and upstairs also have a bedroom /bath each! NOTE: The house is safe for any age, but the decks are high off the ground in these mountain homes and while we have made every effort as to safety - there is NO substitute for parental supervision. Please do not allow children to be unsupervised on decks. The house is EASILY accessible year-round - it is a very short and easy drive from the main highway. In the winter, please check the weather as you may need a 4-wheel drive (depending on weather) as the road can get slippery. Otherwise, it is a short, mild climb on a paved road and few curves compared to many homes here in the mountains - easily accessible WITHOUT a 4-wheel drive in most of the year - only need one if there is a recent snow. It is a 3- minute drive to the house from the main highway. - we are in a development, so you will pass several houses as you drive up to our place, which is at the top of the development - so quiet, peaceful and cool., with a beautiful view and in the treetops!!
